This gem from Steven Wilson, of whom I'm not a fan of his music but as a producer, he's a magician and has re-worked many a classic Prog albums. His
take Rush's Twilight Zone is amazing, such textures and the musical passages he added work real well.
Would love to put up some of the recent 40'th anniversary mixes but I doubt the sound quality that most people listen to would ruin it, you wouldn't
get the sonic picture of how well these sound. Geddy's Rick's growl so hard it's amazing.
So, I'll throw up this so much fun instrumental, La Villa Strangiato. Al had a busted finger, you can see the dead fingernail and they had to cancel a
few gigs before this but they were determined to play this huge festival and the performance is out of this world.
Heard this the other day and damn it is so Zepplinesque it's eerie, was watching an interview a Robert Plant mentioned them and even though he sounds
very much like Plant he said he was influenced by Steven Tyler to Plant's chagrin. If they don't feck it up they can take this as far as they want
too.
It isn't just the lead either it's the whole band very polished great guitar solos, heard the drummer used to play guitar but they needed a drummer so
he is fairly new and still damn good, for this old boomer.
Which ironically if you read the comments some millennials are getting pissy cause boomers are showing up at their concerts and it's not cool anymore,
what maroons....in fact though if Im honest I'm pretty sure I heard their name and did a Greta name association, and didn't watch 4 years ago like
well errrr a maroon myself.
