There's transparency of government, which is good, and transparency of personal privacy, which is Orwellian. Considering the social attacks we've seen laid upon people who have supported, financially or just ideologically, certain candidates, I think open ballots would be an absolute disaster. Either you'd have people assaulted in the streets for their vote, or you'd have a situation very much like the "elections" in dictatorships where you vote for dear leader because, if you don't, you get a bullet.

The Nevada Democratic Party said Tuesday it will no longer use the app that is being blamed for the stalled results in Iowa’s Democratic caucuses Monday night.

“NV Dems can confidently say that what happened in the Iowa caucus last night will not happen in Nevada on February 22nd. We will not be employing the same app or vendor used in the Iowa caucus,” state party chair William McCurdy II said in a statement Tuesday.

Yes, it is technologically feasible, but it wouldn't be legal, which was my actual point.

It's not legal to destroy subpoenaed evidence, lie to the FISC, or deny someone the right to representaion either... but it all has happened. By the DNC, no less.

For someone in the Trump campaign to have the specific information that it was suggested on this forum that they had, meant someone must have done the wrong thing, which I don't think is that likely.

Well, it's nice to see you admit that the Trump administration follows the law anyway. But determining general location is not illegal; it's done all the time. Most website metrics give general location data, often down to the state level. They just don't give specific PII (Personally Identifiable Information).

so from browsing sanders for president subreddit it seems due to the coin tosses and picking names out of hats ,bernie may win the "popular vote" but loose the delegate vote so they are pretty frigging salty at the moment
