It's far less dangerous.

So China acting this way makes NO SENSE at all.

what is more likely:

1) Chinese government acting in a way that makes no sense at all
or
2) assumption that this virus is far less dangerous than influenza being wrong

Well since all available medical literature and the expert assessments of the WHO indicates that #2 isn't even a viable option, I guess #1 is the most likely answer by default.

Humans do act senselessly pretty often, as a species it is par for the course isn't it?

Back in December I did some intense research to figure this virus out, and my assessment was exactly the same as the WHO is saying.

China's govt is insane.

We just had another power-failure in South Africa, so I cannot confirm this yet.

But somebody told me they are now planning to give those infected with the Corona virus antiretrolvirals (ARVs), or drugs used to treat HIV/AIDS.

Wouldn't surprise me, since like HIV it is apparently a RNA based retrovirus.
So I guess these drugs will stop the virus replicating or sticking to cell walls.

See, perhaps us HIV-poz people weren't so useless to humanity after all.

Nicotianimine is a precursor component to NAD+, I know the body uses NAD+ as part of the Krebs cycle. Whether the body breaks down NAD+ back into Nicotianamine I don’t know. It is the nicotianamine that binds the ACE2 receptor which seems to inhibits infection of the coronavirus.
