Didn't some us say days ago that they all will eventually get sick due to close quarters and the air circulation cabin to cabin.

I think so... its just shocking to see this in real-time.....

Slow motion train-wreck. Based on the Japanese Cruise ship Case study...it should be clear to EVERYONE that coronavirus is not the Flu....

Its infected 46% of those tested so far.. 160 infected and they have only tested 336

The ministry said it has tested 336 potentially infected people from around the 3,700 passengers and crew on the vessel. The government is also working on a request to get medication to those on board who are suffering from other serious conditions or illnesses, Kato said on a TV program Sunday.

Again, it's still possible that they were studying these at that lab. Think about it.

China knows they have the resident virus for SARS. They know what critters it lives in and that it's only a matter of time before it breaks out again. That is a very legit reason to want to study it and try to develop a countermeasure/vaccine against it if possible.

When you are doing that kind of research, your in-lab strains of pathogens are going to go through all kinds of iterations, both more and less deadly, as part of the necessary research and testing process. You have to know if what you're doing works/will work.

And none of what was going on has to be any kind of bio-weapon.

If this is a lab escapee and not simply mother nature which is still also possible, then this could just be a tragic accident - a lab strain designed to test something that broke out by accident or even a strain designed to test a potential modification on the road toward a vaccine strain not ready for prime time.

TO BE FILED IN THE "WHAT IF" FILE.

Yeah, but what if what they were studying and trying to create was a vaccine that would only benefit Chinese? And what if someone had the bright idea to test it on a small group of the populace at large for any minor side effects and things went way wrong?

Sure does seem odd that China is in obvious panic mode and also in such a hurry to burn all the evidence. Are they allowing foreign medical help in yet?

“For those patients who have been cured, there is a likelihood of a relapse,” Zhan Qingyuan, the director of pneumonia prevention and treatment at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital, said during a Friday press conference.

“The antibody will be generated,” he added. “However, in certain individuals, the antibody cannot last that long.”

Which could mean every 2nd or 3rd infection a person gets, 'could' possibly be worse, hence the more severe symptoms & even deaths in China

And I am guessing that it would also mean that they also spontaneously become contagious again.

I was reading an article about research being done on the corona virus that said that because the immune systems of the bats that carry the virus prevent the bats from getting infected by the virus research was being done to develop a corona virus that suppresses the immune system so that the bats become sick and die rather than continuing to fly around infecting people... with the implication being that this is the virus currently circulating....one that suppresses the immune system as well as infects you. That would explain the virus presenting in so many different parts of the body.

This virus primarily hits people over the age of 60, with men showing much higher mortality than women (this could be because of lifestyle factors though - smoking etc).

Men over the age of 60 run the world - both politically and in business.

And men 60+ I’m sure make up many of the elite in North Korea too, so this will absolutely hit the elite. In China too.

I predict an unprecedented amount of investment into developing a vaccine or treatment, because of this. a reply to: EnhancedInterrogator

It's also possible that there are measures China is taking to contain this that may be making it worse.

I've also speculated that there may be a factor in China exacerbating this, something that does not exist in other places, like the poor air quality, the higher number of smokers in China, or something similar.

Well, I would think that China is about the most stressful place on Earth to live right now. Perhaps that huge helping of stress in their lives is impacting their immune systems? I wonder how many people over there are barricaded in their homes or apartments thinking that if they come down with a cough they are going to be thrown into a vehicle and never seen again? Tell me THAT isn't some major stress!

#bioweapon coronavirus overwhelming crematorium in Wuhan? Outbreak News

Defango does a good dive into some of the issues going on. A lot of it has already been presented somewhere in the thread. A few new things to add including conservations with the crematorium workers.

One important and strong relationship he presents is overlaying the SO2 cloud map with locations of the crematoriums. Yeah...

If it spread that easily through aerosol means and stayed in the air for 20 minutes and for long distances ... it would be causing massive outbreaks in the US. There is no avoiding it. We have 12 cases and those started to be discovered in January, not late January, early January.

There would be actual outbreaks of more cases ongoing right now in Washington and Illinois. Where are they?

There would be a massive outbreak in Germany, not a chain of cases. The man who is testing positive and quarantined with four other people on the Canary Islands would have infected them by now. Why hasn't that happened?

Either China has a completely different bug than the rest of the world, or else this is in isolated instances under the perfect conditions that this *can* happen, but it normally does not.

BTW, no, I am NOT stalking you! You just make posts that I find very thought provoking and that spurs me to reply.

Here is an interesting thought I just had. If in fact China IS dealing with a much more deadly "something else", and the coronavirus is just a smoke screen, are they REALLY throwing themselves on the sword to try to save the rest of the world from it? Yeah, they could be "bad guys" for letting this thing loose, but on the other hand, they could be ultimate "good guy" heroes to the rest of humanity if their efforts are to contain it within China, no matter what the cost to themselves.

Interesting turn of a thought, no?

If you want to believe this is a virus that can infect the epithelials of your respiratory tract, then the lining of your gut, then go into your bone marrow, then hit your testicles ... that takes a LOT of DNA. It's not going to be something that hangs out in the air.

I am trying to understand and share this as best I can, lots of people are. I know I am not perfect, but trying to get better.

The ACE2 receptor is just one of many the body has, perhaps we have hundreds of different receptors for different things as a rough guess. A receptor acts like a door for a cell, it stays closed until the right key comes along then opens up to accept whatever it is. The spike protein or S protein is the key.

The ACE2 receptors are involved in processes like maintaining blood pressure, this is why they are present throughout the body and present in different organs. Once we are infected the virus travels around our body anyway it can like air ways, gut, blood stream until it comes across an ACE2 receptor. The virus then latches onto the cell, the cell wall opens up and the RNA is inserted into the cell.

The cell then takes this RNA and starts making whatever it says, in this case another copy of the virus. Generally once the cell has used up all of its resources in making more copies of the virus, the cell breaks down and all the copies of the virus are released to travel around, find more ACE2 receptors and make more copies of itself. On and on this goes until the immune system stops the virus or the host dies.

Depending on how the virus functions, it does not necessarily need a large RNA chain to affect different types of cells. All this stuff does get really complicated really quickly, I maybe a little off in this assessment of how the virus functions and glad to have any clarification.

Assuming there is truth to this and they can't dispose of the bodies fast enough, can you help me understand why this is not happening outside of China ?

Is this kung flu targeting Asian people specifically in your opinion ?

Look at the unprecedented actions taking place around the world.

China quarantining 100 million + people
China building emergency hospitals
Countries all over the world closing their border with China
Countries sending in planes to evacuate their citizens
Airlines refusing to fly in/out

I have a lot of faith in the British system, theyve weathered significant storms in their history. When they say its a serious and imminent threat.. people need to wake up.

I'm sick of people laughing at me saying '' its all media hype its just the flu''

Wuhan coronavirus: patients locked up at homes without treatment ...That is what some have been reporting.. locked in to die as there are no beds available

During his visit to the epicenter of the novel coronavirus, China’s Vice-Premier Sun Chunlan said authorities in Hubei province, including its capital Wuhan, must take resolute measures to make sure all people needing medical assistance are admitted to medical facilities for the novel coronavirus pneumonia.

Unfortunately, this is just propaganda. Instead of admitting patients into medical facilities, what the Chinese government does now is to lock many patients up in their homes across the country. People will be severely punished if they leave their homes without permission.

How can the people go to the medical facilities if they cannot even leave their homes or buildings?

A man’s voice in this video says: “It’s over. They are welding the door disallowing us to leave the building. The next will be my building, the number six building.”

corona virus now classified as "serious and imminent threat to the public by uk!
www.theguardian.com...

thats a marked step up from " low risk" imo!!!
"nder the measures announced on Monday, the Department of Health said people with coronavirus can now be forcibly quarantined and will not be free to leave, and can be forcibly sent into isolation if they pose a threat to public health.

A spokesman said: “Our infection control procedures are world leading and the NHS is well prepared to deal with novel coronavirus.

“We are strengthening our regulations so we can keep individuals in supported isolation for their own safety and if public health professionals consider they may be at risk of spreading the virus to other members of the public.

“This measure will rightly make it easier for health professionals to help keep people safe across the country.”

Why are you so worried, 2 deaths outside of China, only Chinese people seem to be dying from it ...are you Chinese?
