I’m sorry I can’t even. To the guy that posted on Twitter his pic of the food and his upbeat demeanor from the cruise ship...good for you, and quite frankly best of luck

To his quote “you might have to drag me off this ship after the quarantine...” twitter.com...

Interesting....indications of a potential "bank-run" in Singapore on Monday..?

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore’s central bank on Sunday said it had advised financial institutions in the city-state to take additional measures and precautions after the government raised its coronavirus alert level. Among its recommended measures, the Monetary Authority of Singapore said financial institutions should “continue to maintain effective internal controls across their operations should split team arrangements be implemented.” It also advised them to anticipate and be prepared to manage any increase in demand for certain financial services, such as cash withdrawal or online financial services. On Friday, Singapore raised its coronavirus alert level and reported more cases not linked to previous infections or travel to China.

Ammo? Good
Food? Good

Omg...So they really have sold experimental animals to markets and have even taken them home to eat. What are they thinking??!

Probably they were thinking, "I sure am happy to have some extra jingle in my pocket after selling those animals!" Hope they bought something nice with the money. :/

So based on firsthand reports it seems they are spraying thier version of Super Sani-Cloth® Germicidal Disposable Wipe and spraying it which seems a dubious way to go about it IMHO but may point to the levels of desperation they are at

We use it int he hospital and its harsh stuff and it will kill this virus but only on a wet surface that soaks for 2 minutes

I'm not sure it works that way or perhaps they are using something new. Ill bet in 10 years we will see some sort of odd cancer spike in that area from this

pdihc.com...

Yeah, this has been bothering me. Just how effective are those little handi-wipe disinfectant wipes we are being advised to use? Seems to me that if they were strong enough to kill most bacteria and virus in 5 seconds use, they would also be strong enough to eat your skin away. Yeah, I use them too, but I think it's just a placebo "feel good" thing.

Some chans ppl digging into the SO2 output, interesting

Rich this stuff is uber harsh and there is specific instructions. Lots of viruses require the surface be wet for two full minutes to ensure a kill.

Alcohol bsaed stuff helps but its not foolproof

Yeah as I said above I'm going with open pit burning of medical waste like gowns, golves, linen etc. There is a normal process for this stuff but given the lockdown they may not want to risk transporting this stuff to an incinerator that may not be close by. open pits burns of that stuff would release alot of that

Most portable incinerators use forced air and a hydrocarbon like diesel. China makes them for the rest of the world. 50 gallon drum incinerators are cheap and easy to transport, and incidentally, on the WHO's recommended list for use during an Ebola outbreak. China buy lots of low grade heating oil and has more lax fuel standards, so low sulfur diesel would not be something they would stock. I suspect the SO2 is coming from that. I'm not saying they are using them to burn bodies, Crematoriums are different from waste disposal incinerators, but for every infected patient, they have to burn their clothes, their personal effects as well as all the daily medical and bodily waste. Makes for a lot of Exhaust.

Not sure of the past count for The Diamond Princess but hearing it's now in about 72 according to a couple in the ship.

That's 6 new cases.

Germany has 1 now at 14.
Vietnam has 1 now at 13

Thats the problem with a cruise ship. Its basically a closed ecosystem hence that why you get those bad listeria outbreaks etc. And man a quarantine would suck as those ships are all about common spaces and not the closet sized inner berth you just go to to sleep

Chinese citizens don’t need cash. They can freely move money from bank to WeChat pay over internet. WeChat pay and other digital pay apps are mandated as legal by govt in China. Not many people in China carry cash these days in cities.

I stopped carrying cash in 2016 and did so through July 2019 when I moved back.

Most of my in-laws in China, keep a lot of cash on them. And keep a lot of cash at home. It's an old habit. The older generation doesn't trust banks, much less apps.

NASA Heat Map

I posted this link a while back, in trying to make sense of the SO2 it helps. This map link starts at Jan 26th and show hundreds of heat spots showing up around the Wuhan region from Jan 29th and onwards.

All I really know about SO2 is that it was a bad by product from burning dirty coal and contributes to acid rain as sulfuric acid is formed in the clouds. A bit of acid in the rain at this time might sound good to help sterilize the area. It will burn of food production and forestry if concentrations are too high.

It seems that they use UTC time for the graph. It is only 6.5 hours into "Today" when you posted this, so that's 400 reported in that time, not 400 over the last 24 hours.

Kinda a big pr exercise tbh, hows that going to help?, honestly if they think it’s outside like that then it’s gonna be inside as well so doing the out side only is like washing the palm of ur hand when it’s dirty all over , pointless
