It is going to effect all of us in one way or another: as anyone who is following this thread already knows; several schools / universities with a lot of Asian students are probably infected both in the UK and the US. Self-quarantine is very effective (NOT!), (Because you only self-quarantine after driving home with a taxi, going to the shops for enough food, etc, etc....) Several countries are completely ignoring the danger.
The virus is hitting closer to all of us each time we open the thread.

And we obviously haven't got a clue what the mid-to long term effects on the economy will be.

Thats the pic. 4chan is tricky. Never know if someones larping or legit. There have been a lot of leaks on 4chan that came true though, so who knows. The way the poster types makes it seem like he isn't a native english speaker. Or it's part of the larp.

Its easy to get lost in information overload on this thread ... but a ways back I posted that it took 4 days for some from being symptomatic first and then in ICU on full resp support. 4 days is scary.. that means this critter is just totally overwhelming the body. The cytokine storm I explained in the last thread.. and DTOM shared some ways to combat CS.

Do you think announcing suspected cases of a contagious pathogen in tourist areas might be the last thing that local businesses would want to have state officials?

Having a little trouble figuring out facetiousness, are we?

I am so very #ed if I get this virus. I live in Canadaand there have already been confirmed cases in Vancouver.

I have 28% lung function and two types of COPD. I also have to get monthly blood product to level out my immune system.

For the very first time in my life I am coming to terms with the fact that there is a very real possibility of contracting an an epidemic virus and if I do, there is nothing anybody can do to save me. I will die.

I will continue living life as I have been, but I will be spending an extra few minutes with my nieces and nephews and hugging them a little longer.

Most of you have a good fighting chance if you get this virus. It will be overwhelming, but you are (likely) starting off with a baseline of close to 100% lung function and likely have a healthy immune system.

Please take care of yourselves, and your lungs. I only wish I had the lungs and immune system you all have.

A lot of colds going around currently I know people for a good 20 mile radius and everybody I know seems to have a horrible cold or know someone with it, hopefully just common cold but when SNIP is happening this close and knowing how this virus rapidly spreads can’t help but get abit jittery, first confined case in MK and I’m GONEEEE

It did come under a lot of criticism when it came out, the main public dispute has been that it is not statically significant. Unofficially, who really wants to admit that this virus was designed? After a lot of pressure the paper was retracted while further work goes on.

There is also another thread on ATS that looks into some of these issues.

You're plan is perfect,but don't count on going yet. The hospitals aren't overfilled yet and modern medicine has a lot up it's sleave if they're prepared and have the capacity.... so you'll have to endure this life for a few more years

From this we can see that the Hankou Funeral Parlour currently can burn up to 576 corpses per day, but due to transportation constraints, it currently burns about 225 corpses of new crown patients each day.

576 a day?? I call bull. Can you imagine a crematorium with 550-600 ovens??? Maybe theyre huge ovens and they just pile a bunch of bodies in.. but then again, with multiples it takes longer. Like a turkey at thanksgiving. You have to go by poundage and heat.. and then how many hours you have to cook the turkey. Even if they pile a few in at a time... youd have to adjust the time and heat.. and circulate ( move the half burnt ones around) to make sure they are incinerated. It takes a LOT more to incinerate a body than you think... much less 576 a day. No wonder they have toxic air..

I believe, and could be wrong, that Auschwitz had 48 ovens and could ‘process’ 4400 bodies a day there. A proper death factory in one of the most unforgivable episodes of human evil.

I'm just not buying it. None of those "survivors" look like they went through anything even close to the symptoms that would have put them in the hospital. Heck, I have had my share of colds and flu, and I look and feel like I have had the stuffing kicked out of me long afterwards. And I always have a raspy voice and continual dry hacking cough afterwards.

This was all just for show, IMHO.

Heck, I'm thinking the official number of "recovered" victims might be the most fictitious off all the stats we are seeing. And perhaps the reason behind China reacting like they are towards this pathogen.

Im aware. Fortunately we dont handle human remains like that anymore. Crematories arent built to exterminate mass undesirables in a fit of genocide. Theyre not comparable.. and were manufactured different for different reasons.
