Love the city of Boston.Went there a couple a years ago. Did the tourist thing but a little off the beaten path. To me it's a must thing to do to understand American culture.

Happy Birthday.

Thanks! I'm definitely thinking about it. I would like to go. I think it would be neat to meet all the different kinds of people who show up.

It can't be any worse than a Fet meet up! lmao

Also you could set up a west coast meet up yourself, it really just starts if two of you are able to meet up and commit to it- then post a date telling all of ATS that you two are meeting up and invite others to join. Meeting up at a bar, keeping it low-key, is a good idea. We usually meet up at a museum, learn something interesting, then dinner and bars. If you set it up with enough time beforehand, I might consider flying to meet ya. Just putting it out there.

I understand, and your offer is a cherry on top. Any west coast folk want to meet up with geezlouise sometime soon?

A FET meeting sounds pretty interesting actually, lol, had no idea it was a thing.

But yeah, no. These meet ups are super laid back... and I'm poor. And I'm not fancy or smart or cultured. In general we will have things we do during the day but not everybody has to do those things with us, anybody can join us at any point through out the day and night.

Would love to have ya!

LOL! The deafening silence.

Maybe I'm not the best worm on the hook.

I've only gone to two FET meetings once with a friend, because she didn't want to go alone, and a second time just for good measure.

They're awkward to be honest. The ones I went to consisted of a bunch of socially awkward men and their harem of equally awkward women. I think they were also medieval rennaissance festival goers too, because they were talking about kilts and chainmail the whole time.

They seemed like a good bunch though. Really nice people on the surface. Could definitely tell there was a lot of fragile masculinity and insecurities whenever I was around though.

If I go to Boston, I'll probably be making a mini-vacation out of it and spend a few days up there to see the sights and see what I can get into. It'd be a waste to drive all the way up there and back just for one day.

If there are any ATSrs along the way let me know and I'll pick ya up. I love road trips, but they're always funner with more people.

Is that an inside joke that I'm outside of. Is somebody here secretly a furry? Or are we secretly going to be attending a furry convention in Boston?

I'm sure we have quite a few furries on board.

And I would not be surprised one bit to see people dressed to the nines in their finest identity hiding attire. lol

Despite some of the things I tend to say here I'm not worried about showing my face. I've said the same things here that I've said in person.

But... it would be fun to shed my skin and let my scales breathe.

I love when people shed their skin and I get to see all the insides.

We will be in Boston from Friday to Sunday so if you will be around and want to meet up Friday as well as Sunday again for early stuff then I say why not. Still the official meet up date is Saturday.

lol @ your description of the FET meetings, you sound like a good friend though. I like it. And hey! I'm def a renaissance fair type of person, at least once upon a time when I was younger. I always thought that time period was romantic and cool, still do I guess.

So yeah, book a room now! And cancel later if you have to, lol. We share the same birthday, it's destiny that we meet.

Also... just ignore me if I'm awkward and annoying.

I put it in my calendar, but it's a pretty big city and I didn't see where in Boston the meetup was happening.

Can someone post that info along with time(s) I'd appreciate it.
