Ungrateful,Poisonous,and unacceptable.

Censorship is a very interesting thing.

I was edited recently for using the word "sc*mbag" accurately in reference to the current 'president' of the USA.

Someone complained. The moderator intervened. The word "sc*mbag" was deemed to be inappropriate.

That was an act of political censorship, not censorship of a profanity.

People have different standards. There is a wide range in subjectivity, and it is probably a different reaction if you are the target as against some third party being the target. It is difficult in the case of a global virtual Message Board to communicate what the standards are, and have people from many walks of life and language backgrounds understand and abide by them.

I don't go out to test the system or put the staff under pressure. But I just wanted to record that George W Bush is, in my assessment, most definitely a sc*mbag, and history will show that, so I had no problem with the use of this inoffensive word at all.

What he deleted was me asking for forgiveness and just a warning from me and a moderator! I posted it because I cared for this site. I'm probably going to get another warning from NC.

Update: The situation between NC and myself has been resolved!

Tell you what people, study the linguistic style of Abe and compare it with some of the people who have been here (and banned) in the last two to three months. You might come to the same conclusion that I have reached. It is had for someone to change their linguistic style. (I will give you a hint - it is not Br**n or Freemason, but someone else). It is my opinion that Abe is not who he says he is.

...well...at least we are finally moving closer towards discussing some form of Conspiracy...

I believe while censorship may be necessary to avoid hurting people, in its own right it is itself a form of conspiracy.

The censor is one who examines works for the purposes of suppressing parts deemed objectionable on moral, political, military or other grounds.

If there is a team of censors here (as in any such public forum), then by definition they must be conspiring to withhold information deemed objectionable.

A simple form of conspiracy, and not really harming anyone except by inference and implication...

Sorry, don't mean to offend anyone here, but am I the only person that things this whole ongoing subject is really BORING!!!!

Following on from my previous post.... I don't think I explained myself properly... I don't think the censorship is boring, just the constant arguing.

Just wanted to set the record straight

As far as I am concerned, AV detracts from the board.
Rather than the issues being the issues, he merely wants himself at the board to be the issue.

His apology was insincere, he has once again called William a nazi because he doesn't like what minimal control we mods use here to keep the place clean and civilized.

One more thing, I don't care if he should be on meds or not, has had both legs amputated or his whole family was taken away by aliens, there is no excuse in this continuous bull crap.

As his apology, which was the reason he was brought back anyway was a fraudulent statement, I have two words in regard to him,

Ban Him!!

c'mon man! i know calling people nazis is downright out-of-order, but banning is a bit harsh! perhaps AV should calm down, but a quiet word in his ear would be better. hopefully.

We just need to find a way to quiet him and get through to him. Maybe we should set a temporary ban on him and have someone talk to him. I don't think it should be moderator talking to him. That will just get him to think that they are "on the same side as the Nazi." (Notice that is in quotes, meaning I didn't say that. ) If we can just get through to him...

Firstly I was wrong about Cammo Dude, and for that I apologise, when I first saw this post I was really angry, and tared them both with the same brush. That was wrong.

But it is true that AV causes trouble, far more than should be acccepted. We have talked with him, forgiven him, and pleaded with him to calm down and stop being so paranoid. But to no avail.

Why should 1 person be allowed to make so much trouble for the board and to cause so much pain here?

Time to ban. Time to say enough is enough, time to get the board back into a more harmonious place. AV is great at flattery and great at apology, but it does not compensate for the trouble he causes.

Sadly I personally have to agree with you, although i have nothing untoward against AV, he does seem to have alot of social interaction with some people at ATS (or is it just most people).

You could talk to him till the cows came home, and then went back out, but i dont think it would make any difference at all. which is a shame as he is/was a good debater? (when he wasnt arguing who he had to debate with, or what the debate was! sorry dragonrider, only an example)

Give him much more rope and he will hang himself, (figure of speech)
