It might just be that we haven't had it in the west for long enough yet for it to develop into a major symptoms in those who so far have it.

I suppose that with so few to look after around Europe and the US for example that those infected will get excellent care very quickly, whereas if the numbers begin to grow to hundreds or thousands of people infected then availability & therefore quality of health care will go down and more serious illnesses will go up.

All depends I think on how many have it and how much it spreads over next few weeks.

It might be that people don't start to die until week 3 or 4 or 5 of being infected in which case it will look right now like it's no big deal and we have it all under control.

I was also wondering the possibilty that a toxic substance was sprayed in Hubei province, which had powerfull immunotoxicity effects causing people drop dead from the Wuhan virus...but it is just a guess again...

Trump should send navy seals to look there, collect air and dust samples etc... jk..

Im sure you've seen the dark web and ichat stuff were it seems there are major neurological or cardiological disturbances we need mri scans and medical imaging from these victims as well as just numbers and dna as you suggest something is awfully wrong there.

Right now we are only seeing primary and second cases in the west. Tertiary patients are not going to be showing symptoms just yet and may have already started spreading it to quaternary victims.

We are a good two to three weeks to seeing it's impact on Western nations.

I think things will look very different in a week or two.

It's all down to maths, you need a big enough group to get meaningful numbers.

2 in the UK, 6 in US, etc is still too small, and even if it is growing exponentially there at the beginning it's just one here, one there until you get to high tens of then it really starts to grow.

Like Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hunan, Chongqing, Beijing, etc - they were all in the 10's of a week or so ago, they're all in the hundreds and climbing now.

Seems they're struggling from something very different over there than the sniffles...just playing devils advocate.

To me it would be helpfull to take full toxicity analyzes from those Chinese nationals that have arrived to Europe or USA and officially have that new virus to trying figure out is there a toxic element present in their body, chemical weapon or chemical poison from industry origin...like they do when someone dies and they start looking possible reasons from body..

Since they'd need to be approved in order to be available in the Chinese version of Steam, that must that Tencent is OK with the decision, and Tencent belongs to the CCP.

Agree there, this goes against of some of the news about how easyly Wuhan spreads. If those Germans dont get it and stay healthy it is just odd. Some of the storys from Wuhan says like whole city is infected ??

The #s seem off for certain. But according to a fairly respected source, this has been (at this point at least), put at a much higher infection and fatality rate than normal influenza. So the worry is well founded, if this gets out of control. I imagine the fairly drastic (for China) measures taken so far have helped quite a bit. The asymptomatic and seemingly undetermined incubation is confusing matters, and is the real problem.

Not enough information. Not nearly enough, that is one reason why so little of what we hear makes sense. Still too many missing pieces of the puzzle.

If other countries can weather this thing without huge outbreaks, that indicates a big failure on the part of the CCP. But that conclusion would be too easy, too tempting. Still far too early to tell, and I am not optimistic.
