You're in China. Lay in supplies if you can and be prepared to self-isolate. It will essentially operate like the standard cold or flu. Do what you do to avoid getting those - wash hands, don't rub your eyes or nose, don't go into public any more than you have to, avoid gatherings. If it comes to your area, be prepared to hunker down and stay in place if you can until it burns out.

And keep telling yourself you're dealing with the flu ... do what you do to avoid that, only with higher stakes.

Thanks for concern. Not in China any longer. Need to fix my profile.

I’m in hourly contact with family and friends all over China. Wife’s family is all over the Country and a few are well placed in govt. We get some good info but it’s hard to sort through all the panic.

Many of my friends in Guangzhou are threatening to quit their jobs if they aren’t allowed to telecommute. The fear is very real and we should be concerned as it’s here in the US.

Friends just landed in Taipei, Taiwan for vacation.

Hope they make it back.

At current state:

CV had spread 20 times faster than SARS.
