Prince Harry and Megan

We have been watching this unfold for some time now and it seems the Royal family has had the last word as you would expect. I had been fond of Queen Elizabeth for many years, as many as I were exposed to her life and position. As an American I was not really inclined to know much more than the usual opinions put forth in the media. And we now know and where that has led us in our opinion formation. Many a person has began to examine closely the actions of the media. And began thinking about ours and theirs very tightly worded comment coming from Great Britain's best PR wordsmiths.

I suppose it was folly to think we were any better informed here in the US, Just saying......I guess. Harry and Megan have not had opinion in their favor, and If truth be known were despised by some. There has been word that the couple wish to come to the United States and make their own fortune independent of the 'Royals'. Well we know sadly, that is an oxymoron at best. Never the less I think barring homesickness, that here is where their happiness lies. I know there are Reams of policy, Pomp and Ceremony that must be upheld for 'Looks' sake no matter how outdated.... after all it is the Monarchy and must be adhered to.

Perhaps independent of all these 'rules' and stifling archaic behaviors, the other Royals might just see that theirs is a time long past, nearly irrelevant. Perhaps I seek to wish wellness to all the Royals, I especially wish Harry and Megan a Bright upcoming future. In fact I do wish them every success and happiness. It usually only comes once in life.

One can wish but.....facts are that Meghan is a manipulative, controlling narcissist, that caused a rift between the two formerly inseparable brothers, quite aside from the fact she seeks to isolate AND SEPARATE him from his family AT CHRISTMAS, and now "if you love me", Meghan now demands that Harry abandons his own identity, reject who he has been his entire life, resign his Prince title and role, and move with her to North America.

Harry made a mistake , it's good they go sort it out.

I'm not a Monarchist but I see this making little to no difference to the Monarchy , yes Harry is a son of Diane but in line to the Throne he is not so constitutionally it makes no difference.

I'm more interested in Andrew's feet being hauled over the coals a few more times.

I think the Queen has acted brilliantly. She was put in a tough situation all around -- a situation she never should have been put in except for the self-serving way H&M went about this.

Nevertheless, she gave Harry exactly what he said he wanted (though not what he technically asked for), and gave him a year to prove himself before the arrangement is reviewed the Queen again. This is the opportunity Harry wants, and the Queen has given him exactly that.

And the Queen has left the door open for Harry (and I suppose Meghan) to reconsider and return. I think the Queen is thinking the same thing as me: This year will either make or break their marriage. Either Harry will come crawling back to the Royal Family a little bruised and battered but also that much wiser, or he and Meghan will work together to create their niche in the world and live happily ever after.

It still stands to be seen if they will be allowed to use the "Sussex Royal" for business and charity purposes. As I understand it, those decisions are not made by the Queen. She can only address his place in the Royal Family. The trademarking and security and other issues are out of the Queen's hands. And although the Queen has let them keep the "Duke" and "Duchess," though not the "HRM," the Parliament also has the power to strip their titles.

I wish them the best of luck and the brightest blessings. They've got a one in a million chance here to do something really amazing and awesome.
