We Are the Crystal Gems from Steven Universe. Watched it in a hotel one day and couldn't believe how silly the idea was of a chubby obnoxious little
boy whose mother came from a planet of magical warrior women who now has to learn to be a warrior and use magic alongside them while going through
puberty...hilarious. Funny adult jokes too! Like when Steven feels guilty for spending so much time playing Whack a Mole so he tells himself, "you
know, a boy on the cusp of manhood can't spend all day inside whacking!"
Great thread. Not many themes from shows nowadays are as catchy as the 70s and 80s ones.
I'm shocked Cheers hasn't been mentioned yet, one of the catchiest TV themes ever!
+1 for whoever suggested Red Dwarf, coincidentally a snippet of the Theme has been used recently in a UK tv ad and it reminded me of it, I've been
listening to the full theme a couple of times over the last week. Really kicks in at 0:57
+1 also for Knight Rider and the 1978 Battlestar Galactica themes, both very memorable ones and shows I loved.
I'll throw in these also :
MacGyver (original)
Transformers G1
The Fall Guy

So I was looking up some Hans Zimmer stuff on Youtube, and this came up as a suggested video.
No way, I thought ........... the Knight Rider theme is so synthesizer heavy it would sound awful on an instrument like an acoustic guitar. And I say
that as someone who's played guitar for 26 years.
Looks like I was wrong! It gets going about 0:42
