200Arrested for starting bush fires

More link

In NSW, 24 were apprehended and charged with deliberately lighting bushfires. A further 53 people are facing legal action for allegedly failing to comply with a total fire ban, while 47 others are accused of improperly discarding a lit cigarette or match outdoors, according to the Nine network.

In Queensland, police concluded that 103 fires had been deliberately lit, with 98 people—67 of them juveniles—having been identified as the culprits.According to Melbourne University bushfire expert Janet Stanley, the majority of fires are lit by young people aged 12 to 24. However, worryingly, they have also been set by children as young as ten.

Why would young children in their teens suddenly start bush fires, when i don't see any history of something similar happening ? Obviously it feels like these kids have been pressured or incentivised to start these fires. Now since there is enough proof provided to conclude that climate change is not responsible for this. Who is responsible ?

When looking into Pyro-terrorism, i came across this...

source
13. Dr. Thomas R. O’Connor. Ecoterrorism. Lecture notes 16 for Terrorism Class in Criminal Justice Course 429, North Carolina Wesleyan College. Dr. O’Connor, a Criminal Justice Professor at Wesleyan University, explains that not only is ELF America's biggest domestic terrorist threat but that, “it is important to understand that extreme ecoterrorists do NOT (original emphasis) really want to preserve the environment or protect endangered species (like environmentalists); they are better characterized as wanting to destroy the world in order to save it. Available at (faculty.ncwc.edu...).

ELF basically is Earth liberation front. Where else have we seen such nonsense. Climate change activists or to specify green peace activists.

GM what crops destroyed
Green peace destroyed Nazca lines

Take a look below, some rather weird similarities from what Bolsenero claimed earlier and what happened recently in Australia. Just a co-incidence ?

Amazon Fires
But it has hit a menacing new level after last week’s police raid on an Amazonian NGO and the arrest of four volunteer firefighters who are accused of setting alight the forest they risked their lives to protect. Until recently, Brazilian NGOs’ greatest fear was being publicly smeared by a president who has baselessly accused Greenpeace of creating oil slicks, environmentalists of starting forest fires and Leonardo DiCaprio of bankrolling the arson.
Bolsenero claims NGO's behind amazon fire

firefighter charged with starting fire
A volunteer firefighter in Australia has been charged after allegedly setting multiple blazes, some of which he helped put out afterwards, as the country continues to battle one of its worst bushfire seasons on record.

In both cases we see Volunteer fire fighters responsible for starting fires, Is this pure coincidence? Or is there more to it ?

Judging from green peace's history, Can we at least have the liberty of considering an option that Greenpeace and similar NGO's might have been responsible for the fires there ? Sure Bolsenero's policies did not help. But Green peace and other climate change activists has had the habit of getting into trouble in multiple countries.

I wanted to see if the climate conditions in Australia was any different from what they usually faced. I cam across this link.

Rain fall in Australia
source
I suggest people read this

As Paul Homewood pointed out last month, there has been no significant long-term decrease in rainfall or increase in temperatures in the affected regions. The same applies to temperature. Yes, this has been a hot spring in New South Wales. But there have been times when it has been much hotter — making a nonsense of all stories in the Australian media about temperatures being the hottest evah:

So, to be clear, there is zero evidence of any change in climatic conditions that might have increased the likelihood or severity of these bush fires. This is not — repeat NOT — a man-made climate change story, and anyone who claims otherwise is either a gullible idiot or a lying charlatan.

Man-made culprit #2: well-meaning idiots who don’t understand that unless you manage forested areas with controlled burns, you’re going to end up with out-of-control wildfires.

Jo Nova has a damning story about locals in East Gippsland in the state of Victoria who successfully stopped a planned controlled burn at Nowa Nowa. Two of them were pictured holding signs saying, “Spring burns kill baby birds alive” and “Stop burning nesting birds”.

One grandmother was quoted as saying, “I’m more worried about climate change, and the impact the burns are having. I’m worried for my grandchildren.”

India asks greenpeace to shutdown

India has canceled Greenpeace International’s license to operate and gave the group 30 days to close down, citing financial fraud and falsification of data, the environment watchdog said on Friday.Last year, Modi government withdrew permission to Greenpeace to receive foreign funding, saying the money was used to block industrial projects.Under the latest order issued by authorities in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu where Greenpeace is registered, the government said it had found that the organization had violated the provisions of law by engaging in fraudulent dealings.

What is it that Greenpeace and other NGO's are doing that they are getting in trouble almost everywhere ? Is this the sort of eco-terrorism where they create environmental catastrophe just to get public sympathy for their cause?

Its clear that the fires were started artificially. The question is, who started the fires and why? One suspect which i have clearly mentioned here are NGO and climate activists. Eco-terrorists who do damage to the environment just to gain public sympathy. Something else i did not mention while is tumbled during my research is "Arson Jihad". I will post later on the topic when i get more content and more clarity.

I just showed this to my teenage daughter.
She’s being told in school that the world only has 10 years left before it’s destroyed by climate change.
Her teacher also tried saying the Australian bush fires were climate change.

We have to find alternatives to fossil fuel. All the carbon being put into the atmosphere is raising global temperatures making deserts and dry areas dryer. Now these areas are very susceptible to massive fires. California has had raging fires for years. It's almost biblical.

Burning gasoline causes pollution. Pollution is bad. Simple logic.

The Earth will obviously not be destroyed. But our quality of life living here will be absolute hell.

Exactly its not climate change, sure wish those idiotic celebrities would donate all those millions to child famine or something as spiritually important than give money to Australia who by the way was one of the only counties to escape the GFC unscathed.

Australia does not need the money they are more than capable of paying for these small but intense bush fires.

Greta and her posse have really done a number on the ignorant and Australia is reaping the benefits financially, just how stupid are these celebrities??????? Way to much coc aine seemingly.

187 Aussies arrested for starting these fires i read today - 187 WOW!!!!!!

I'd say they want to lay waste to their government, and what easier way. Nearly effortless, and then chaos, for days, weeks and here.... months. What will it take and cost to recover. Is this the new terrorism ?

Yes, it is climate change.

Combined with this mind-set:

What kind of person deliberately starts a bushfire?

Most international studies have settled on a typical profile: White male, mid-20s, patchy employment record, often above average intelligence but poor academic achievement and stunted social development.

It's a disturbingly common crime, with estimates up to half the 54,000 bushfires that hit Australia on average each year are deliberately lit or suspicious.

According to a 2004 Australian Institute of Criminology (AIC) report, many arsonists are loners and suffer from mental illness.

FBI criminal profilers believe arsonists fall into three categories, defined by motivation: thrill-seekers, attention-seekers and those chasing recognition.
Arsonists driven by the need for recognition will often report the fire or be actively involved in fighting the fire.

It is not uncommon for attention and recognition seekers to stay and admire their work, while thrill-seekers are typically opportunists and likely to flee the scene.

Who is Black Saturday arsonist Brendan Sokaluk?

Australia's most notorious bushfire arsonist is Brendan Sokaluk, a former Victorian Country Fire Authority volunteer, who killed 10 people when he deliberately lit a bushfire on Black Saturday.

Sokaluk became one of Victoria's worst killers in 2009 when his fire killed 10, razed more than 150 homes and destroyed 36,000 hectares of land.

He always denied he deliberately lit the fire, instead telling police he had thrown cigarette ash out his car window.

A judge sentenced Sokaluk, then 42, to 17 years and nine months in jail.

Penalties relating to bushfires under the NSW Crimes Act, the Rural Fires Act, and Rural Fires Regulation include:

* Damaging property with the intention of endangering life – up to 25 years imprisonment;
* Manslaughter – up to 25 years imprisonment;
* Starting a bushfire and being reckless as to its spread – up to 21 years imprisonment;
* Lighting a fire when a total fire ban is in place – up to 12 months imprisonment and/or a A$5500 fine;
* Not putting out a fire that you have lit – up to 12 months imprisonment and/or a A$5500 fine;
* Failing to comply with a bush fire hazard reduction notice – up to 12 months imprisonment and/or a A$5500 fine;
* Light or use a tobacco product within 15metres of any stack of grain, hay corn, straw or any standing crop, dry grass or stubble field – up to a A$5500 fine.

Because if you combine that with hot, fast winds, you get firestorms.

CO2 makes up only 4% of greenhouse gases, water vapour being 95%, and of that 4% humans contribute around 4.5%....4.5% of 4%.....honestly, how much of an effect do you think that could have? How could that minuscule 4% control the other 96% of greenhouse gases?

So this wasn't climate change - yay for those in denial.
The climate has been changed as a result of this event.
It doesn't matter. Our house is in disarray and it has been for a while, and it will get worse unless everyone can agree and make some real changes.

Here's is what I can't understand about climate change. Why are people so against it? I mean even if everything about climate change is false, isn't it still a great idea to take care of our environment? And yes, the Earth will always take care of itself that's true, but don't we want to at least try to keep our home clean and uncluttered while we are here? If we had taken good care of the Earth can you imagine how beautiful it would be and how awesome our relationship with it would be?

It's stupid. It's like people talking about how utterly devastated they are about the loss of over half a million animals and ordering steak for dinner. Wake the # up people.

It’s bushfires, they happen
It’s what happens, kids play with matches, as a kid I did

The east coast is hotter the last few years, that’s is a fact also. Not much to say, I lived in the bush and I always stressed when I saw smoke on the hills. Our eucalypts literally blow up in flames, they are full of fuel

In fact most Aussie plants won’t germinate without the help of fire

Terrorism, extreme heat and kids playing with matches

Glad you mentioned this.
From my seat hundreds of thousands of miles away getting information from the news
and from my social media feed which is even worse than the news it sounds like the whole world is coming to an end! I have a dear friend who lived in Indonesia when that tsunami hit. I was so worried for him... by the time I got him on the phone and was in a panic "Oh my God are you alright? are you alright?" He laughed and said "Uhm, yeah, why?" He was pretty much on the other side of the country but in my mind the entirety of Indonesia was gone! Perspective....
But all of those poor animals though

Why would teens set fires? Wow there's a question. But they sometimes do.
And they spray paint on buildings or throw rocks and break windows.
A need to destroy due to raging hormones maybe?

Ummm...very good questions...

Hormone driven response to stimuli...

That thought alone goes a long way to define some of the antics that youth act out upon themselves and others...

Couple that with Adults pushing their pet agenda's into these..."skulls full of mush"...and you have entire generations swayed not by logic...but by propaganda...and design...

Of course...that's not to suggest that the adults who also fall prey to these control methods are un-swayed by these types of onslaught saturation...

Not trying to push any paradigm...or particular ideological method...
Only reflecting on your thoughts...

If you research it a lot of the California wildfires were started by power lines especially where crews couldn't clear out areas around them due to other environmental concerns.

And there are reports that in Australia some of the fires are particularly nasty because of the government not doing controlled burns during the wet season again due to environmental concerns. They have 180 arrests for arson now just imagine half of those and there is probably way fewer fires and definitely less severe ones.

For a place that is meant to deny ignorance, This place sure does a bad job. If you start a discussion about causality and rule out a cause for no reason, then your discussion has no merit.

Thank you for being a voice of reason in the wilderness of the uninformed or willfully ignorant.

Our 'footprint' from the use of fossil fuel is a fart in the wind compared to all the volcanic activity in the world - in other words it don't add up to nothing.

I can't wait to see the 'Greta' followers try to tax/stop volcanoes.

Holy crap how did people get so gullible.

Climate change did not start those fires. I would bet that at least one of those fires was started by a climate change follower who wanted people to believe climate change was causing all of them though. People will do stuff like that to prove their beliefs are real, people started most of those fires, the weather didn't

It is the same in California, people are starting the fires either by ignorance or by carlessness or sometimes because they are hateful. We need to stop that and stress to the young that it is really important to watch what you do when things are dry. Fireworks can and do start fires too, shooting bottle rockets or other fireworks up when it is dry is not a good thing.

The fact that they are having a heat wave and a dry spell is just a cycle, all the heat from here is not going down to australia, and they are not having wild fires in other countries more than normal in that area. It shows me that carelessness and a society disrespectful of nature is happening down there. People so polarized in their beliefs they hold, including their belief that scortched earth is good, is causing a lot of problems there. Kids and adults here do start some fires, they believe their carelessness will not hurt anything, and nine times out of ten it doesn't when related to forest fires, that tenth time can cause a lot of damage. Please prevent forest fires by respecting nature and making sure to watch what you do.

They are not taught to respect the rights of others or to respect nature. Often the parents are not even aware their kids are acting that way, and modern society says parents cannot go into their kids private spaces. Kids are kids, they follow the leader and do naughty things some times just to defy their parents and society.

That naughty might be a problem, but playing with fire should be addressed to stop this kind of destruction. I accept fires in towns because we only hurt our own kind mostly, but when it is in the bush I get upset, especially when the animals cannot get away. I like wildlife, I may have hunted deer, but I have spent a lot more money helping the deer survive the winter here than I ever got in the value of meat I got from hunting. I am a supporter of the fish and wildlife and forestry services, except when the forestry service does something stupid like allow way too much unneeded logging.
