Nope, oil is a requirement for our continued way of life, at least for the time being, no guess about that score.

And we don't need oil, we have plenty of our own, that does not mean we don't import the stuff, same as your own nation.

YOU don't need it nether, and yet in the third quarter of 2018, the U.S. imported roughly 10.2 million barrels of petroleum per day!
