Microsoft had shifted at least $39 billion in U.S. profits to Puerto Rico, where the company’s tax consultants, KPMG, had persuaded the territory’s government to give Microsoft a tax rate of nearly 0%.
Microsoft had shifted at least $39 billion in U.S. profits to Puerto Rico, where the company’s tax consultants, KPMG, had persuaded the territory’s government to give Microsoft a tax rate of nearly 0%. Microsoft had justified this transfer with a ludicrous-sounding deal: It had sold its most valuable possession — its intellectual property — to an 85-person factory it owned in a small Puerto Rican city.
The evidence they assembled told a story. It revealed how Microsoft had built a massive Rube Goldberg machine that channeled at least $39 billion in profits to Puerto Rico. It revealed a workshop of outside consultants, economists and attorneys who, as they had with other corporate clients, meticulously planned a structure that seemed to have a basis in the law, even if it violated common sense.

This was reported in Aug. 2015. I did a thread about it because it scares the bejeebus out of me to think about the misuse that can happen.
DREADDs --- Designer Receptors Exclusively Activated By Designer Drugs
The thread only went 2 pages, but Tigertatzen contributed. Wish she were still around.
Chinese Vaccine Scandal Is a Big Warning for the U.S. If the Chinese are willing to sacrifice their own children’s health with bad vaccines, does anyone think they are likely to treat the manufacture of medication for the rest of the world with any more care?
Your editorial “China’s Vaccine Scandal” (July 28) describes a small example of a much bigger problem that seriously affects the U.S. China is now one of the biggest producers of drugs and drug ingredients in the world. In 2017 China manufacturers received more good manufacturing practices violations and warning letters about “adulterated” products from the FDA than any other country (see fda.gov).

The IRS Decided to Get Tough Against Microsoft. Microsoft Got Tougher.
This post is less about Microsoft then it is about Puerto Rico and why it exists in the (S)tate is does and maybe why those billions in aid have duel meanings.

The game is the game, don't hate the players hate the game.
My understanding is part of the Puerto Rico scheme is that it houses the IRS corporation (the US debt collector for The FED) because it can't be on US soil. If true that makes this story Cosmic Scale Irony.

Things are not looking so good in China right now. Wasn't there a Q drop that said something like before this is over 99% of the population will be in the hospital. The way things are going it seems the only thing that will stop this political division is a national disaster.
This was in regard to the amount of truth being made public, I believe.
Originally they said 40/60, public/secret, but there has been some indication recently that that number may have come up to 50/50 or even 60/40.
What Q said was that if the full truth were known, 95% would end up in the hospital. In order words, full societal collapse.
These are high stakes.
ETA: there's a certain undercurrent narrative I'm picking up on with all of this. There was another article that came out today about a 35 TRILLION dollar accounting error within the Pentagon today. One thing led to another and apparently, according to some dude who worked in the Bush administration, the Pentagon is sending a lot of money off world. To our Breakaway Civ guys.
I think of what Tom Delonge has hinted at about Greek Gods...
I've caught wind of the idea that maybe we are about to release technology because if we do not, we are doomed.

This is about the survival of our world

95% in the hospital if the truth is known. What sort of truth could they possibly divulge that would cause a total societal collapse???

A veteran detective for the Carlisle, Pennsylvania Police Department, who was also a task force officer with the FBI and a member of the Cumberland County Drug Task Force, was indicted by a federal grand jury for bribery, drug distribution, fraud and making false statements.
Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bruce D. Brandler of the Middle District of Pennsylvania, Special Agent in Charge Guido Modano of the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General’s New York Field Office and Special Agent in Charge Michael Harpster of the FBI’s Philadelphia Field Office made the announcement.
The indictment alleges that Christopher Collare, 52, of Blythewood, South Carolina, used his official position to obtain sex from two women in exchange for agreeing to take actions in prosecutions. In 2015, Collare allegedly agreed to accept sex or money in exchange for not appearing at an evidentiary hearing so that a criminal charge would be dismissed. In 2018, Collare allegedly agreed to accept sexual favors in exchange for taking steps to help reduce a potential sentence.
