Amazon pays pretty damn good... I think you need to look at what jobs at amazon you are talking about? I'm sure there are some that suck, and they are the same gobs that suck anywhere else too.

LOL this isn't a warehouse jobs it was a second headquarters with loads of clerical and staff jobs.

So how do yo entice a big company to come to your state. NY has crazy taxes, so why should a company go there in the first place? Illinois is the same in they haven't seen new growth in decades, which BTW means new jobs for the people there. You're a company that goes to Illinois and wants to help a depressed area and not only are they going to tax the crap out of you, but will run you through a bureaucratic mill of pain. A friend of mine wanted to do just that 500+ jobs but they wanted him to invest 10 million in the building he want to move to, to meet their "codes" with never ending lines of paperwork that money is exchanged at each step. No breaks no nothing, just an attitude if you want to come here you need to pay heavy through the nose to do it with everyone having their hand out along the way. He said screw it and built a new building in the south...

Another friend of mine does construction work non-unionized in NY , and he does all the work at a 1/3 of the cost 1/2 the time needed and pays his people better than the unions. Of course it is all done on a quite side of things, but he does extremely well. NY sucks in so many ways they really need to do something or companies just will not go there.

It's incredible that her followers are that STUPID.

So much common sense is being thrown at her and all we get in return is a deluge of stupidity, in fact, the vast majority of her supporters probably can't vote yet.

I'm just glad to see some damn good push back.

Pelosis once said that her district is so easy to win that a cup with a name on it can win it, so lets see it happen?

You need to look up the difference between revenue and profit.
Also the tax breaks have nothing to do with income tax.
The breaks are on things like property taxes that the state is not getting now and will not get ever since they didn't give Amazon the break.

And as for all businesses getting the break,,, they do...every time a business expands or build new facilities they apply for tax breaks and most of the time they get them.

i am no fan of a0c, and i am no fan of amazon. both gl0balists, fighting to steal your money.

the 'real' amazon win, would be if amazon is BUILDING products in nyc. (at one point almost everything was made in nyc.)

so these precious amazon jobs, are not real jobs, they are shuffling jobs.
the real jobs are outsourced to china and soon africa. those are manufacturing jobs, those are the only jobs that count.

these amazon jobs, and paying people to ship cheap chinese products.
