Why is there a need for it to be apart of China?

It all stems back to WWII and Chiang Kai-shek (nationalist) and Mao Tse-tong (communist).
Communist Mao-Tse-tong took over China in 1949 and Nationalist Chiang-Kai-shek fled to Formosa/Taiwan.

Well seekerof that is a tipical american thinking why does it has to be a part of china or why does kosovo have to be a part of serbia or cechenia a part o russia and so on.So lets talk about why does california and texsas have to be a part of the states they are originaly mexican and what about hawai and alaska it is okay for you to support terrorists and justifive them by calling them freedom fighters as long as they serve american interests.Lets be fair america is the global opresor it is not a free country i mean how can you be so blind a country were a woman cant safely and openly perform a abortion for fear of clinic bombing or she being shot, were a law is being passed were women thongs should not be visual any more because it is not appropriate, were everyone can bare arms.....you are a christian version of taliban ,you are a scared manipulated and under-educated nation that will do anything and belive anything its goverment says. And if the U.S has the right to preamptive strike so does china,russia.....
Thank you.

What do 'yall think about the idea of the U.S. just keeping hold on all the jobs and goods produced in China? In other words quit relying on China to produce goods we can produce here. It seems to me to be a good way to get our budget deficet in line. In the short term, our goods may be somewhat higher for Americans to purchase, but overall I think it would stagnate China's economy. How about some feed back please?

It's a great idea, but big business will tell you differently. The "greed" maybe too BIG of a monster to over come at this stage.

Peace

Do either of you hold an economics degree?

Because if you do, please tell the rest of us so we can avoid that university in the future.

Thanks.

I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Chinese economics is a predatory, military science based exercise.

The good thing is if they own us, they may not see fit to bomb us.

US warns of China’s military advances
From Oliver August in Beijing

WHILE the EU prepares to lift the China arms embargo, Washington is urging caution, saying that Beijing has drawn up a blueprint for attacking Taiwan and could be America’s main military adversary within ten years.

I'd like to emphasise the point that the US wants to remain top-dog, and it is this imperialistic foreign policy that will be their down fall as soon as a war in China started... The US wouldn't be able to defend its overseas assests, insurgent attacks would jump at the diamond of an oportunity...

right china is the good guy wanting to conquer taiwan and we're bad wanting to defend our friend of 55 years, you people amaze me with your hypocritical condemnations and cowardice, "oh leave china alone you dirty imperialists, they can conquer taiwan if they like, abandon your friends its ok, go on"...sickening

china will lose and i'll smile as their navy and airforce are decimated, payback for korea will be sweet.

Im not saying China should invade Taiwan, Im simply stating why is there a need for Taiwan to become idependant? Especially considering the consequences that would arise from such an action...

Do you know what the anti-secession law actually does?

If I seem to remember, they have been bullying China just as much if not more so, because they know they have a bigger, older and stronger friend ready to back them up...

The US as been selling advanced (and offensive in nature) missile technology and aircraft to Taiwan for a long time... This whole process has been Tit for Tat since the beginning...

Ideally, I would like to see every human on this earth taken out, so that the world could return to some kind of natural order... I personally don't care what happens, as long as I dont get drafted to fight side by side with the US in my final days... And yes it is Nihilistic, but I think we humans have gone to far to repair the damage we've done, so shmeh...

Please, namehere, deny ignorance.

Read up some sources before commenting, Taiwan has in one point of another being part of China. That is a fact.

To help you on your way to knowledge

edition.cnn.com...

Map of the Qing dynasty.

P.S
Also by claiming that Taiwan isn't a part of China would be the easiest the way for China to take Taiwan. I have always believed that if peaceful re-unification were to occur, the Communists would have to woo the Nationalists. If the Nationalists end up continuing to be mitigated to the sidelines, that alliance is very possible.

with our tech that taiwan has, we cant afford to not get involved, if china defeats them, they will have alot of new toys to play with, if they invade i bet we will be involved in a naval and air battles and some ground support like the soviets and chinese in korea and vietnam and what we did in afghanistan against the soviets.

So I guess the U.S. better now stop trying to handle something too hot (Middle East) and stick to something simpler and more straightforward, right?

A war with China can have plenty of positives for America. More than the direction America's going in right now.

You seem you have the ideas of the NWO,
If there were such a thing ur ideas would be identical.

I mean, if the U.S. is so concerned about security, it should be paying attention to those that directly challenge and even threaten America's place in the world. These nations are all in the middle to east Asia, not in the Middle East.

The Middle East, after Iraq, should be left alone. There's nothing good to come from going to the Middle East and it's the one place that can easily destroy everything.

You arent linking ur knowledge!

To own Iraq(middle-east) and possibly Iran are the first steps of the batlle against China.dont u understand?
China is screaming for oil,in 20 years they will beg for oil.

The US are playing a chess game against China, the russians have chosen the side of the chinese in this game cause they dont want the US to win this game.Who ever wins this game will rule the world 4ever.
