Some reporting is suggesting that Trump’s hasty pull out is what caused this mission to be done when it was, because they had lost intelligence assets keeping track of ISIS leadership when the US left the region.

There are rumors that the strike against al-Baghdadi netted a treasure trove of intelligence connected to the forming of ISIS.
Who were those Senators that had that photo op with al-Baghdadi? I think it was John McCain and Lindsey Graham.

Several people I have in my network have been giving reports that the Syria pullout was in fact a leadership flush out operation. Key people tied to leadership who were captured made their escape and were in fact tagged. They were then tracked and traced back to leadership and then the leadership was attacked and that is how they got al-Baghdadi and most of his lieutenants. Does anyone have anything on this yet they can share?

No. UK, Iraq and Syrian and Kurds are claiming Al-Baghdadi's wife, nephew and the wife of his courier were captured in Iraq back in September. The wife of the courier gave up the location and the Iraqi's passed the info onto the US.

"We arrested one of Baghdadi's wives, his nephew and the wife of one of Baghdadi's courier's," the official said. In interviews, the latter gave up information on the leader's whereabouts and the coordinates in Idlib. "He wasn't very mobile" he said, suggesting he had had been in the province for at least the last two months.

He confirmed the Iraqi National Intelligence Service shared the information with the US shortly after.

True or not, its appears to be the case.
