It's hilarious watching Democrat pundits and politicians all over TV and social media making complete fools of themselves trying to make a big deal out of the fact that we deconflicted with the Russians before we flew into airspace they were monitoring. That's completely standard and everyone on TV claiming that's somehow odd knows that's standard, but they're willing to look like uninformed jackasses who are clueless about how military operations work just to try to spin something negative out of this.

The Russian military on Sunday questioned the official US account of the military raid that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, saying it was not aware of any US military operations in the region.

In a statement, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said the Russian military “does not have reliable information” on a US Special Operations raid in Syria’s Idlib province, adding: “The increasing number of direct participants and countries that allegedly took part in this ‘operation,’ each one giving completely contradictory details, raises legitimate questions and doubts about its existence and especially the level of its success.”

“Firstly, on Saturday and in recent days no air strikes were made on the Idlib de-escalation zone by US aircraft or the so-called ‘international coalition’ were recorded,” Konashenkov said. “Secondly, we are not aware of any alleged assistance to the passage of American aviation into the airspace of the Idlib de-escalation zone during this operation.”

Of course the Russians are gonna question our account. This is very embarrassing for them. al Baghdadi was right under their noses for God knows how long and they didn't know. As for their "unawareness" of the operation, the reason for that should be obvious. They are Assad's ally. Are they really gonna acknowledge that they enabled us to violate Syria's airspace?

All of that is without even considering, if Trump is really Putin's puppet, wouldn't Putin be helping Trump sell this as a great accomplishment? Something that could help his chances at re-election so he can continue to purportedly do Putin's bidding for another 4 years? I realize it's hard to keep all the stories straight when none of them are based in reality, but at least try to keep them somewhat consistent.
