Look into the claims that are made on any video you watch on youtube, before you claim it as the truth.
But it must be true. I watched it on YouTube.
This video is just another example of how easily led some people are when it comes to vaccinations.
A presentation by a "doctor" with questionable expertise in the subject, and an interviewer how knows a trick or two abut how to implant suggestions and deceit while pretending to be knowledgeable and righteous. It's the same old formula played out in a million YouTube videos - regurgitated and rehashed. This type of video is watched and believed by people in the echo chamber, for whom reality and science are a distant blur and somewhere beyond their sight.

Its the source of the video has been throughly exposed as a fraud.

When you say things like that people will think you have an agenda. This thread has only just begun, we haven't even started talking about the science yet, we've just had a few posters acting like pharma shills trying to shut things down with ad hominems and false accusations.

Here's a reason why I believe in vaccines. I did not have the mumps vaccine when I was kid. When I was 5 years old I got mumps and I lost the hearing in my right ear.
People who mouth rubbish about the evils of vaccines are putting the health of children at risk. If you don't have the mumps jab THEN YOU RUN THE RISK OF TOTAL OR PARTIAL HEARING LOSS.
The anti-vaxxers drive me mad with their endless hysterical rubbish and the fact that the twit in the video is not listed with the GMC tells me everything I need to know about him. He's unqualified and has delivered a consignment of geriatric shoemakers.

Where did I deny that vaccines can have side effects?
The only point that I am making is that there is zero reason to believe what the guy in the video is saying.

Not bullocks at all.
I've seen a small child before and after a certain vaccine. She was the youngest sister of a child that went to school with my child. The girl was absolutely covered in eczema so bad she couldn't stop scratching. Her skin flaked off and peeled away in chunks. Her mother would slap her hands quite hard to get her to stop and the child would scream in pain, not from the slap, but from the eczema and hives. She was in agony and the mother said it happened right after she got her shots.
You can say it's bullocks all you like but human beings don't like being guinea pigs. What about the HPV vaccine that's causing sterilisation? They released that one too early. Many people have very bad reactions to vaccines, not a minority of people and I wouldn't call sterilisation or lifelong scratching 24/7 a side effect. And once a child has that reaction, they no longer get the vaccines of any kind and they're fine!
A vaccine is not as safe as a paracetamol. If you want to push that idea, provide the research papers showing this.
All you've done is attack the source and it's really obvious, too.
BTW, vaccines aren't so effective either. I've been given shots and got the virus within two months. My kids have gotten shots and within three months the whole family has that virus.

AngryCymraeg,
It's worth noting that the scientists who made the mumps part of the MMR vaccine are now suing Merck, as the vaccine didn't work and Merck forced them to fake the results by adding rabbit antibodies to the results.
Hearing loss is very rare after mumps, but the vaccine cannot stop mumps anyway, the efficacy was faked. If you are male you are better off catching mumps as young as possible so as you won't harm your fertility.

It's amazing how you call people who disagree with you pharma shrills trying to shut things down??
Big pharma companies do make huge amount of money out of a lot of their products, but Docs are to quick and lazy and prescribe these drugs to soon. You have a sniffle, the Doc prescribes antibiotics, causing resistance. You have trouble sleeping, here take sleeping tablets. Having pain, here's some morphine, so on and so fourth.
But pushing the agenda of anti-vaxxers is just stupid, especially videos from someone and a group who are pushing fake alternative "medicines".
If you want a crusade to fight, maybe try fighting against antibiotic resistance, thats far more dangerous than vaccines.

Absolute twaddle. The vaccine does stop mumps and permanent hearing loss affects one in 20,000. Yes, it's rare, but it's still a real risk. Here's the thing: anti-vaxxers are gambling with the lives of children. Which genuinely enrages me.

I did actually watch some of it but honestly I got so fed up with it.
The thing to fully and properly critique this entire thing you would need to sit down for a few days, you would need a complete collection of all academic journals referenced then you would need to go through them all individually and analyse them for yourself.
Honestly I don't have time to do that.
I do however have time to take a look at the guy presenting the information and ask the question "Is this guy reliable?" the answer to that question is no, he is not reliable because he does not hold any qualifications that make him qualified to give advice regarding vaccination programs. Therefore why should I even listen to what he has to say, why should I care more about what he has to say about vaccines than my postman.
I've been debating pharma shills for years, so I recognize their script sheet, soundbites and tactics, they all do exactly as trained. Also I know someone who used to recruit them and he showed me a lot of what they do. If I call someone a pharma shill I'm 99% certain, but there could always be the odd person who has been influenced by the shills and now copies off them.

If the pharmaceuticals believe that vaccines save lives and bring a net health benefit, they have to prove that scientifically. So far they are not willing to, we need science, not assumption.
hiddencode,
I totally agree with you, and IF one is going to proclaim that vaccines save lives, then one MUST be able to substantiate the claim with valid studies/tests.
