What Happened to God?

For me, being raised Catholic, I still believe in something. But my beliefs were ingrained in me, rather than developing naturally. My mother is Catholic but my father wasn't. He let me mum take the lead and raise me and my brother Catholic. I rarely visit the church these days but when I do there is a sense of going "home" when I do. It's peaceful.

I guess these days I'd identify as "agnostic" - I don't know what's going on but I'm pretty certain it's more than just this physical life. And that's not because of my childhood - it's because of everything I've had chance to experience/read/watch and try to understand.

But I'm still Catholic if you ask my family. Once a Catholic always a Catholic.

What does not require any belief?

What if there were no labels?

This that actually is is missed/denied because of beliefs and labels.

Concepts arise that speak of other and more.... they simply happen.

Political hysteria is filling the void left as religion vanishes.
People are becoming so strident and obsessed with politics the way they used to burn heretics at the stake for having different religious views.

The part of our brains that is wired for religion is still there...its just getting steered into increasingly hardened and inflexible political views.

Now the next question is...why?

Peace is here..... but looking in time and space brings fear.

There actually is no time for a separate you.... nothing exists separate from the whole.

500 years of science dispelling silly superstitions as nonsense has taken it's toll. It's not that big of an interpolation to just assume the existence of God is just another silly superstition.

However, I will prove to you God exist. God is just a word. What the word means is defined by every sentence it was ever used it. Nobody denies the existence of the word God. The word God exists right here in this sentence. This paragraph is your evidence for the existence of God.

People use the word God to mean everything that has ever happened along with every possible possibility realized in the future. God is the alpha and omega of thought. No other word represents the sum of all the meanings of every other word, thought, idea, experience, and imagination. God represents every possible thought that has occurred, can occur, will occur, plus every possible imagination as well.

So there you have it. God exists and the evidence is right here in this sentence. If you take into account the Unity of opposites with regards to the meaning of words, then God is a word required in order for words like something, nothing, and everything to make any sense at all. You have transcendence and immanence of language semantics. God is an envelop of meaning wrapped around our minds. A boundary to the garden of thoughts that occur within our minds.

What happened to God?

Humans tend to envision themselves as god-like and then to project that belief backward to image their view of god. A very self-satisfying and comfortable position.

We've learned to detach that connection from our egos and see god as not some sort of thing that created the universe from a superior position of power and mercy but simply as the source of everything which is consciousness. You loss nothing if you accept that premise, take self-responsibility. In that way a whole lot of inane complexity built around a god figure is forever trashed. I've got a golden calf for sale cheap.

True love (agape love) on the highest order can only exist when both parties are willing and able. More so, they work TOWARD the other to achieve a Unity factor. A projection of Self (in our case, our very consciousness fiber). None of this handshakes unless both parties make the opening (surrender) AND the projection (Love).

It's the default of God doing both for all finites. It's on us to do our part and we're too lazy, too filled with ego, too filled with contamination WE CHOSE to value over a Communion degree Relationship with God. It's all our fault. It's all your fault.

Non religious is not a disbelief in God. Many people consider themselves spiritual and just don't like the hypocrisy of many churches.

The Bible prophesied about that too. You can bury your head all you want, but it doesn't change what is.

You are having a laugh if you are claiming that's some sort of prophecy. Cults and their ilk always cause division in families.

I could easily say the same thing today regarding politics. The question you need to ask yourself is why do families allow so many things to cause so much division? It's not the politics or religion itself that's doing it. It's a condition of the heart that that ultimately breaks up families.

I wouldn't disagree about politics causing division. I wouldn't say it's a condition of the heart that breaks up families, that's just vague. Some religions can accommodate differing beliefs within the families of their adherents but many like Jehovah's Witnesses don't. Simple really.
