Considering Ukraine is an ally (one we promised to defend so long as they get rid of their nukes), I don't see the big deal.

neither do I
this in no way rises to impeachment level

perhaps I am missing something?

or are the dems just that dumb?

This is just a piece of the puzzle and itā€™s damning. Trump clearly asks a foreign leader to investigate his political rival and work with his personal lawyer. This is collusion people. Remember that whole thing that was investigated by Mueller? Yeah, this is that.

The Trump admins only chance at getting out of this is attempting to normalize this behavior. Based off some responses in this thread he very well may be successful.

I donā€™t understand why you people arenā€™t pissed? The Trump admin thinks you people are so stupid you will buy anything they say. They are telling you this behavior is ok and you are eating it up. Do you have any self decency left at all? Trump has played you like a fiddle.

It sure looks like quid pro quo.

Trump had no understanding of the limitations of the office. He thought being president meant freedom to be lawless.

I sure hope Trump doesn't get impeached. I still prefer Trump over Pence.

Also, just to add salt to lefties, DOJ just closed the case on Trumps supposed violations of campaign finance laws, "He did not VIOLATE, case close, No Further Action Needed" šŸ˜˜šŸ˜‹šŸ¤—

Except Ukraine is a close ally unlike Russia who is viewed as a competitive adversary.

By that logic, Hillary and the DNC colluded with a British ex-MI5 agent, paid him, and inadvertently paid Russians for dirt on Trump.

But this one doesn't bother me (and I'm regularly critical of Trump), because he didn't offer anything, he just asked for something to get looked into. Is it the most ethical thing to do as a sitting president to get dirt on an opponent? No, people will have opinions against it.

But I fail to see how this was as bad as what his opponents did to him. This was simply a question to an ally.

So what are you saying?

If you're running for President you have total immunity from the current government investigating you?

I don't think so. You're confusing this with a political candidate paying a foreign government to investigate their political opponent and to report back on unverified and unsubstantiated claims. Thats Collusion!

Trump and his DOJ investigating an American Citizen for corruption and asking a foreign nation for information on the crime is legal, fine and no problem.

a reply to: Gorgonite So when 3 congressmen asked the Ukraine for help and actually said they would no longer vote in favor of helping them anymore what is that called?? asking for a friend there is nothing here that is impeachable and the left is going to move the goal post on this and make up words to make it look bad. I didn't even vote for Trump but the way things are going I will be..

Ok, you have the transcripts... by all means, point to the page and line number where there is any quid, much less pro quo.

Just read them, don't see any Quid Pro Quo, in the Army, you specifically look out for this kind of thing.

There isn't anything here, literal NOTHINGBURGER.

Next up, the whistleblower complaint, with information arriving that said whistleblower is actually a partisan hack, we may be seeing the final motions right now of this.

Actually I think the next step will be the Democrats saying they don't believe this is an accurate transcript and demanding to hear the actual tape recording.

Congress in general is the most corrupt outfit in the US..IMO

He asked them to look into crimes perpetrated on their soil by American citizens. How is that different from any other situation? Extraditions, etc? These things happen all of the time.

You have watched too much Fox News.

For one thing, the whistleblower complaint is not just about this call. The most damning thing from the complaint is a promise made by the president. I donā€™t see that here. So there is more to come.

But, there is already enough here to destroy any presidency. He clearly asked a foreign leader to work with his personal attorney and dig up dirt on his political opponent.

You seem to think that if there isnā€™t an explicit quid pro quo ( why wouldnā€™t you, the entertainers on Fox spent all night conditioning you ) but thatā€™s just wrong. Here is a quote from Lindsey Graham on impeachment.

ā€œYou donā€™t even have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job in this constitutional republic if this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role,ā€ the politician said. ā€œImpeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.ā€

There doesnā€™t need to be a quid pro quo, only an abuse of the office. There is definitely an abuse.

Pelosi just said she hasnā€™t read the transcript but knows, without a doubt, he violated the constitution

Lmao

Also, maybe like the ACA, Congress needs to pass impeachment so they can find out what he did....

-Chris

Woah...
Back up to Pelosi's statement on violating the Constitution.
Should not one read and understand the Constitution BEFORE condemning one for violating it ?
Just sayin...
...that Nancy never has.

Respectfully, everyone here is expressing their opinions. If you donā€™t like my opinions, thatā€™s fine, just donā€™t read my stuff. But unless there is some rule in the terms and conditions I am not aware of, I am allowed to speak my mind just like the rest of you are.

I do think it is telling that you even responded in this way.
