Obama is yesterdays man what they don't mention is Trump is significantly trailing his main rival Biden in every poll.
www.realclearpolitics.com...

And he trailed Hillary in every poll, even on election day 2016....

Whoa. 😂

But seriously, good for him.

Yet when you lose by 4,000 votes in a special election, you think a big blue wave is coming.

I still think the Dems best path to victory is Bernie as their candidate with Tulsi as VP.

He's the only way they can possibly bring in the youth vote. Meanwhile, she's pretty much the original Bernie Bro. Yet at the same time I also see a lot of Never Trumpers that would vote for her. It's also a move that satiates anyone that's truly worried about Bernie's age.

My wife, is a teacher and is constantly barraged by the commie manifesto's that the NEA puts out. Even worse, she is an art teacher. All of her peers are commies.

Anyway, she voted for Dems her whole life with exception of Hillary (she just didn't like her - that is the general way she votes - she likes or don't like their personality - I think she wrote someone in ). Anyway, she stated that she thinks she is going to vote for Trump this time around. I could barely believe what I was hearing.

She said, "well things seem better than they were. I don't like his personality really, but I really can't stand anyone the Dems have bidding for the office. Plus these weirdo's from the far left in the DNC are freaking me out."

Now I am willing to assume that she is hearing these complaints from other voices and agreeing with them because she isn't too deep politically. She certainly has never like my political opinions in most regards.

So my thoughts if the DNC is totally losing someone like her, I can't imagine how many others there are.

Another issue is I have one old college buddy that was always diehard DNC voter. ALWAYS. The Cavenaugh hearings made him join the RNC - WHA? Yes it is true, those hearings were really damaging to the DNC. It's odd they never recognize that.

Other way around IMO.

Democrats will vote for either. She would pull more independents, hell, I'd seriously humor her.

The biggest complainers of rich old white men and white privilege being the biggest supporters of a rich old white man with white privilege?

5 years ago I would have laughed at that.

Guess we'll have to wait to see if lightning strikes twice then , part of me want's Trump to win a second term for the fun factor while the other part wants him to be a one term President for the Lols.

Considering Trump has the entire MSM trashing him nonstop, daily, for 3 1/2 years...instead of continuously praising him, as they did for Obama...Trump's REAL numbers are certainly MUCH higher.

Tulsi doesn't have the name recognition. Plus, she would probably get crushed by Trump in debates.

Bernie has shown that he can debate while also producing soundbites.

His biggest problem is that he doesn't represent the interests of the corporations that run the media.

I'll be interested to see how things play out if it comes down to Trump and Bernie.

That's a fair assessment.

The only thing I would question is the name recognition part. Name recognition as a politician is bad more times than good IMO. For some like Bernie, it's something they've built and works for them... But if you look at establishment politicians from both sides of the aisle. Very few have done well in the past few cycles.

I'd say Bill kind of came out of no where, same with Obama.... And after Bush, it was the number one thing hurting republicans trying to recycle tired old names. The democrats started following suit with Hillary, and now Biden.

Makes sense to me. Obama was slowly ruining the country, Trump is making it better.

Tulsi is condemned by the democrat establishment because she is anti war

Bernie is a joke who went from having integrity to buying a third lake house and leaving the democrat establishment screw over his supporters in 2016

Hope is what worth it cause now he is being supplanted by Warren, who just took his message but she has more diversity points and is better spoken than him

And she also can be counted on by the democrat establishment to do what they tell her

She will be the nominee

Regardless of how ATS may perceive Bernie, he stil carries the 18-35 demographic. While that age group is notorious for its lack of voting enthusiasm, the Millennials now outnumber the Boomers.

All Bernie needs to do is pull an Obama and galvanize the youth vote. If he can do that, Trump is screwed.

When your ratings are in the toilet you have nowhere to go but up.
His approval rating is still abysmal.

51% approval is not abysmal.

His approval rate in 2016 was actually abysmal and he still got elected.

Chew on that for a while.

He won’t get the nomination in my opinion

Even if he did, I don’t know the youth vote would outweigh the moderates who would cringe and his hundreds of trillions of dollars of proposals

I guess we will see

Not a fan of Bernie, but that statement is a tad hyperbolic...

To elaborate, every establishment candidate is cool with a comparable spending apparatus in failed foreign policy. Bernie want's to do free healthcare (in a way I don't agree with) and free college (again, in a way I disagree with, but this one I would be more sympathetic to if executed properly). Health and college would mean a return of tax dollars if implemented correctly, which I doubt happening.

Before I get scorned, I want to emphasize logic would say government would be very wasteful with this like anything else, so as it stands, I'm for neither.

I excoriate both parties, trump included, for massive deficits

Having said that, their spending pales in comparison to Bernie’s

He claims 40 trillion for his healthcare plan. That’s just one plan

The college plan would be tens of trillions

Some forms of the green new deal has some estimates of over 300 trillion dollars

Total government spending in 2018 was a little of 4 trillion

And that is way too much

So no, even with disastrous foreign policy waste, no one other than aoc is even close to wanting to spend as much as bernie

They never gave him a chance. And they still aren't. If this was a Democrat running the show he would be Jesus incarnate by now. We all know it, and you know it as well.
