Ironically, GM was just about the only automaker who had decent results for Q3. Ford and Chrysler had a bad quarter, and the Japanese automakers all had a bad September. I think Tesla had a bad month as well. (GM, Ford, and Chrysler have stopped reporting sales every month, and now report them quarterly.)

Personally, I think the union officials are sandbagging it because they know they're probably going to get arrested for corruption once the contract negotiations are finished. Over the last few months, something like a dozen current & former union executives have been arrested for stuff like soliciting bribes and embezzling union funds. Everyone figures the current president of the union is going to go down soon. Supposedly, his neighbor has seen him counting stacks of cash while sitting on his back porch, and I think the cops raided his house a few week ago.

Seeing as how the Dems aren't even pretending to be fair or impartial -- changing rules on the fly, telling witnesses not to talk to their councils -- litigation is almost inevitable. They are literally acting like gangsters, and a RICO lawsuit against them is fully justified.

Sales were down across the board. Japanese and Domestic. Hyundai was down 8-9% also. Toyota was down 16% in September and Honda wasnt5too far behind. Domestic sales didn't take that bad of a hit in comparison.

They need to quit focusing on trucks and suvs. When those prices are hitting $80k easily sales are gonna drop. Ford royally effed up with their decision to stop producing small/midsize sedans. Focus/fusion and even the flex. These automakers are catering to a somewhat niche market. Not everyone can afford a vehicle that starts at 40k and tops out between 70-80. Prices keep going up across all body types. They're saying the collapse is here based off the lack of sales in the auto industry. I personally just believe theres nothing out there automotive wise that people want, or that people can afford. But I'm not an economist so who knows.

Seriously. Something has got to give. You're going to spend 20,000 on the cheapest new car out there, at a minimum. Almost 50K for the base model Jeep pickup truck. Apparently 500 something dollars a month is the average new car payment these days.

The Market fluctuates, the "sky is falling" sentence has been uttered 10000 times in my lifetime. As long as there are BUYERS, there is no issue. The day folks go to sell, and NO ONE shows up to buy there is a problem.

The dow is a few companies, too few at this point to be particularly relevant except as a emotional barometer, which DJT and Q team know fully .

It is a casino and nothing more at this point, so the operations are to be seen as such.

Who is buying? I won't bother wasting time looking, but at some point folks will find the buyers are white hats. Consider what that means.

Lastly, cyclical trades are set, settlements are done and so on which can shift numbers temporarily - a two day snapshot is as pointless as determining who will win the world series after the opening day standings. Chicken littling it as proof of anything is without merit.
