MIT Media Lab, already under scrutiny for Epstein connections, dumped chemicals in excess of legal limit

— Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab have dumped wastewater underground in apparent violation of a state environmental regulation, according to documents and interviews, potentially endangering local waterways in and near the town of Middleton.

Nitrogen levels from the lab's wastewater registered more than 20 times above the legal limit, according to documents provided by a former Media Lab employee. When water contains large amounts of nitrogen, it can kill fish and deprive infants of oxygen.

The state's investigation adds to recent scrutiny of the Media Lab for accepting donations from Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was charged with trafficking minors before he died in jail last month. Joichi Ito, the director of the Media Lab, has resigned, and students have called for the resignation of MIT President L. Rafael Reif, who signed off on at least one of Epstein's gifts

It would be a better strategy but still an unfair one if in fact Iran had nothing to do with the recent drone strike.

If Iran and Israel have beef with each other let them go at it, Israel already gets enough money through foreign aid, we don’t need to be fighting their wars for them on top of that.

Rel, my gut take on that per his delivery was "we're going after who is REALLY in charge." The names we know stooges will be collateral damage.

The fact that he had Steve M. deliver suggests this isn't the typical fake out like Clinton saying Iran can now sell carpets. Nor is it the desired "war machine" response. They're removing money rather then spending it on killing.

They are removing access to money at all levels.

We probably get much more traction here than any of the legacy dinosaur media empires. We are the news now. I, for one know that as soon as I see word of anything happening in the world, ATS, and these threads in particular, are where I look for information.

I also do this. I find that news breaks on ATS faster than it does in the media thanks to the lovely, diverse crowd of members the site has. Also, way more trustworthy than the media (aside from some users).

from my own observation, they've been injecting as much fear as they can into the minds of the population -- multiple shootings, the threat of recession, the threat of war...they control through fear. it's the only true power they have. Once they lose that stranglehold, they lose everything. The best way to beat them -- stay out of fear. laugh in the face of danger
