My second sighting came about a year prior to my third. I posted it here but it seems to be lost. It was modest compared to one and three anyway. It was simply another night of star gazing and finding geometric patterns among the stars that for an hour or so were always the same until the last time I looked finding a pattern that looked like an old fashioned kite with one of the points of the kite was no longer present in the configuration.

From reading those two accounts, you can see that they happened more than half a century ago. They were so pronounced to me that I was for sure that very soon this would become public, not my sightings but the whole field of ufos would become moot as I expected that within my lifetime contact would be universally made. You know, landings in front of the White House stuff.

It hasn't.

My sightings of mystery ended in 65, I find that interesting as well. It's as if there was no ''need'' for me to see more, in that my consciousness had been moved '' out of the box''. You know? Out of the everyday assumptions that what we see before us is what is and nothing more. I have always looked for something more from that time on.

When I read about other peoples sightings I wonder if maybe, there is some connection between the ''event'' and the observer, that is maybe this is what they are for, to slowly kick the observers out of their old more limited frameworks of thought and into a more abstract or questioning about reality framework.

It's not that I haven't spent enough time outside during the rest of my life, not that I have not slept under the stars and watched and waited cuz I have. My wife and I live out in the country along the west coast and actually designated our entire two acre backyard sitting next to a river as a welcoming landing pad for ufos. Yes we are waiting but so far,,,,,,,,,,,

So maybe I got all that was needed for me, you know? Maybe maybe not.

And if you are interested, here is a story kind of like those above but not of ufos but a dramatic psychic event that happened in my youth that also profoundly set the course of my life as well.

Oh, and btw, I don't believe in "shared visual hallucinations", I don't think multiple people can experience the same optical effects unless something real actually caused it.......I don't see how it'd work.

Maybe you'll have to look differently at what is real, inorder to see how it'd work.

I appreciate the reply, I can definitely respect the well thought out and educated response. There is an answer to everything and I’ll take what you said into account. My only contention with our means of measurement is that it’s an attempt of our finite minds to quantify our existence. My truth is that we only exist because of human thought which is immeasurable. It is instantaneous, which is why I feel our individual souls (sols) are in fact what we are looking at in the heavens. I feel there is a place of pure thought within us which lies below our impulsive need to think. A collective of sorts, the tie to what we see. It’s this area of our being that can reveal the mysteries we see quantifiably by our outer sight. Life must be an acceptance at an individual level rather than an understanding. The billions of stars and rotations could never be understood finitely, and we are all finite unless we can bring our minds into that pure place we all share. It’s below thoughts and feelings, below concept. It’s this place alone that can’t be measured because it just IS. To break through the deepest concept is to shatter onesel, shatter all perception. Friends locally a couple towns (close suburbs) away, our next door neighboor, and friends ~400 miles away all saw "UFOs" on a night, I believe 6 years ago, during the Perseid meteor shower. Perhaps there's some confluence at play?

The one nearby friend had the closest encounter of everyone I know who saw "it/them", and was the only one who had "communicated" with "them." He could never quite vocalize what it was exactly - he tried, but it seemed more like a mass data upload. Sporadic thoughts, but it was more like an overall change in his mind.

I saw some strangeness that night in the sky (a bit later), but not what the others saw. I saw what looked to be a satellite changing course, then remaining stationary, growing brighter, then dimming, etc.

Elohim are not the angels. Elohim is God's name. In the original scriptures every angel has Elohim as a last name. Like "Gabriel Elohim." Yes, Elohim is plural, which is why Genesis 1:26 says: Then Elohim (God) said "Let US make mankind in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

It's used for a lot of things and is pretty generalized. For example wiki says under "usage":

So it includes seraphim, demons, spirits, gods, etc.

This leaves a lot of room for the usage I applied it in, which is contextually related to various Earth cults/groups and abductees that claimed specifically that "Elohim (spelled various ways) came from Aldebaran".

I was making connections based on research I came up with, I wouldn't personally use that term because I speak modern American English so I would say "aliens" more often than anything else. I only tied in "angels" because that was integral to the experience itself in the OP.

About the sightings "stopping abruptly" I'm not sure what to make of that. Although I do agree to a degree that they are probably personally directed at each observer in many cases, and I do think the purpose of many of these incidents is to get your "mind out of the box" and shift your consciousness, I don't understand why they'd just halt.

For me personally, my first sighting was 1999 when I was a teenager and I have seen plenty of odd things in the sky since, the one in the OP is actually quite tame compared to some of the other strange things I've seen. And I haven't experienced a sudden halt in these incidents, though for a long period I got so addicted to my PC and lived in large cities so didn't go outside often to star gaze.

That's really cool that you allotted your back yard as a landing pad, have you tried psychically communicating with "them" since? I would suggest you and your wife try out the so called "CE-5 Protocol" or whatever variation of it you want to use and try to make conscious direct contact. Try it over the next few months and keep ATS posted on any developments of that.

I don't think they'll land but you never know, lol, there's been much stranger things that have happened. Don't give up Hope just yet. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us here, good stuff!

Although I agree that our govt has been infiltrated and overrun by ex-Nazi sympathizers and turned into a type of "4th Reich" of the sorts, and that they are up to all sorts of nefarious plots, I don't agree with your assessment of my experience.

I know that I saw what I saw optically with my eyeballs, and my subsequent "research" was purely based off a hunch that I should look up star maps and see where in the sky I was looking so I could explain to other people a more detailed report of my sighting. The discover of Aldebaran was purely the result of that initial desire to merely have a better explanation and to know what constellations I was looking at.

I do not view this as a "Constantine" vision of crosses in the sky at all. My description of the flash "looking like a cross" was pure coincidence and related to the way a light glimmers or twinkles rather than any type of specific religious reference - though I do appreciate you making that connection and I find it interesting and thought-provoking.

That's why I brought up Epistemology earlier, because I do think we should all spend a lot of time and thought towards the concept of "reality" and trying to sort out what is abstraction and what is definitely knowable.

My current thoughts are similar to Descartes in that only a very few things can be actually known for sure, and that everything else is up for debate.

This is my first post. I have enjoyed this site for many years and I find that the conversations are often very stimulating and thought provoking.

I sit outside in the early mornings and watch the sky while I drink my morning coffee. I have worked as a nasa contractor off and on for most of my career. I was an electrical engineer and in my early days, a commercial pilot. And yes, in my long life I have seen several ufo's that were not just lights in the sky. I will post those experiences now that I have an account here.

OK. I routinely see what our friend has posted about. During the predawn hours the flashing lights moving across the sky are most commonly satellites. Most satellites have a rotational spin to maintain gyroscopic stability. During the hours before dawn the solar panels at altitude are bathed in sunlight and are extremely bright. As the satellite rotates the panels will flash as they reflect sunlight. The ones I notice the most appear to be in polar orbit. So, it's quite possible that is what he saw. However, it's possible he saw something else.

I know for a fact that the universe is teaming with life. A couple of my colleagues at Nasa have secretly admitted to me that there are aliens for sure but will not say anymore about it. I have clearly seen two extremely large boomerang shaped craft, a 10 foot or so metal sphere that flew past me, and an incident in the Grand Tetons in the early 70's that may have been an abduction. Still scares h*ll out of me to think about it. I will post about it when I'm allowed to start threads.

My philosophy is this:
The sum of man's knowledge is a finite set.
The unknown is infinite.
So on the grand scale of things, none of us is much smarter than an amoeba.
It's a smart human who understand how incredibly, incurably, and dangerously stupid it is.

I have long considered that the dropping off of these experiences in my own life was due to no longer needing them. That is, the pursuit of those kinds of experiences can be addicting and can pull people off of a more holistic life experience. In a way like Star Trek's Prime Directive. There, there was to be NO contact but from this point of view in my case and I assume others, there is ''contact'' but minuscule, like a short electric jolt to spur one on and then they are withdrawn.

I am to be me and you are to be you. If we were both to experience a bunch of these types of experiences over and over I think that we could easily be pulled from our individual life paths into one where we were turned to jello by the overwhelming ''otherness'' of these experiences.

I am me with these experiences and you are you with these experiences, yet, we remain in many ways on very different paths. You a Trump supporter and me, well you know my stance on him. I find it interesting that both of us with numerous experiences like these and the questions and answers we develop from having had them can produce two individuals with such widely different takes on political issues. It's like all these politics are as amorphous as trying to understand what the hell is going on in the realms of interaction between those other realms and ours here.

I am a believer in the veil. That we here on Earth at this time have and have been under a veil, not of illusion so much, but rather a veil of protection. And not a veil of protection such as might be guarded by aliens or angels but rather just by the nature of this place. That we as creatures (partially but very substantially) of this place are limited to the natural boundaries OF this place. That partially being the small window of interaction that we sometimes receive or direct in our direction through experiences such as we are talking about here and prayer and meditation.

I don't believe that we are all supposed to agree on stuff. It's almost as if some of us are here to observe and interpret some things one way while others of us observe the very same things and interpret them in ways. I don't believe that we are all supposed to think and believe the same things.

Actually, I do my best to not believe at all. Above, where I mentioned that I believe in the veil, well that is one of the very few times I offer my belief on anything. Mostly I offer my thinking on stuff instead of my beliefs. I find beliefs to be in many ways like mental prisons. Belief systems are one of the ways that the veil remains intact, by channeling our mental capacity down roads that lead in only one direction, That is,,,I think....

So Muzzle, I know I tend to ramble on and stretch between here and there in my communications but that is because I am always in search of expansion. So much of what I have offered here is mostly attempts on my part to pull together thoughts that float in my mind until such time as I can find a focus to do so, In this case it was your OP and you.

I to have have similar experiences. I have seen so many pulsing objects in the nights sky the craziest thing is.. I look away to different part of nights sky one zooms in to view! It’s billions of miles apart unless they are in the atmosphere, but how do they know where I’m going to look? Or I’m guided to look there in the first place?! Whatever it is it never ceases to amaze me.

I believe you 100%. Reminds me of a near similar experience of mine back in the early 90s. After it happens, all you can do is just sit in wonder....like OMG did that really just happen? THEN BOOM! Confirmations AGAIN...yep....been there.....that was how it all started...then over the years it just became so scary for me that I moved very far away. It helped for a while, but not long. I was at the point where certain investigators at MUFON wanted to follow me....then one day I got a message and a letter, correspondence, meeting.... I became a number after that.....and that's where I leave my story for the good of my mental health. These situations can really do a number on you, and its best to get involved with others like a support group. You need to be around people who believe you and have experienced similar situations, otherwise if the paranormal is around too long PTSD can and will develop.
