When you say that you've "been finding myself concentrating in the heat of my hands," do you mean that you are concentrating on making something happen... or just concentrating on what is already happening?
Have you ever had your natal horoscope charted? Do you have a strong Aquarius or Uranian energy in your birth chart? Or any close aspects between personal planets/angles and Uranus?
Generally speaking, does electricity do weird things around you? Streetlights turning on or off as you pass... or wristwatches that won't work for you? Anything like that?
Do you have any healing inclinations/abilities? Have you ever consciously tried? (Perhaps via prayer or meditation, not necessarily laying on hands or anything like that.) Or noticed any healing affect you might have on others? Any family history of psychic or healing abilities?

It sounds like you have some kind of energy just begging to get out and be put to work!
I would suggest having a look at your natal horoscope and see what it tells you. I suspect a strong Uranus and/or Aquarian energy, and the aspects to that energy can help you understand it's origin and its purpose and hopefully how to best use that energy.
Astro.com has a free natal chart calculation service. As does CafeAstrology.com. Both can give you an interpretation as well, which will probably touch on these energies and give you some insight, but not much in depth.
You will need your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth for the chart calculations.
I'd be happy to take a look at it for you and help you make some sense of it all if you'd like. PM me if you'd like to do it privately. But if I'm right about the Aquarian/Uranian energies, then I'm pretty sure astrology will come naturally to you. And with just a little information and education, you will always be the best interpreter and judge of your own chart!
