Ya, sure, it was all obama's eight years. Got news for ya, the middle class was being hacked away family by family. Bit by bit way before Obama came along. The time to reverse course on that one was way back during Clinton's time if not before that. Our economy was dead and on life support before Bush left office. Obama is just the convenient scapegoat yous come up with to blame the disaster that decades of financial mismanagement ( by both parties) has produced.

And who gains power in 2020 will be up to the voters. Hopefully our govt will have more that come from the center right and left who are able to at least work together and both the far left and far right will find themselves out in the cold.

Well, you’re right... we went off the rails in 1913. The problem with Obama is that he’s so openly Marxist. He did so much damage in so many ways, with the help of communists like Brennan, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett and others. The Democrat Party has become too radical and the GOP is standing by while they bring communism and rip the Constitution to shreds. Trump is the loner in this deal. Many around me think he is sponsored by the Spiritual Hierarchy.

What you are referring to as communism I am assuming is all those social programs that try to give assistance to the poor. But they have been around and were undermined by greed, corruption, and plain out and out stupidity before Obama come along. If the dems are the party of communists then the Republicans are the party of fascists but I believe if you look a little closer they have both been just playing different roles in a scheme tearing down all but a minority of people and diverting the wealth to that small minority. If you need a clue as to just who the small minority if look to where all the money is accumulating at.
It started way before Obama.

Maybe by communism he means people like Brennan--who he mentioned by name--a guy who voted for a Communist candidate.

Ok let me rephrase it..
What damage did these "communists" help Obama do?

You do realize that Putin is like a pictorial representation of a communist and it wasn't the dems that were dancing for joy over the help they were receiving from him to win the election??

Yes it was. The entire Trump dossier came from the Kremlin. If it came from the Kremlin, it came from Putin.

When the Kremlin reached out to Trump they were rejected every single time. That is straight from Mueller's report as well.

Bernie loved Communist Russia.

Did you actually read the report? Because I don't believe that it says anywhere in it they were rejected every time. The trump tower meeting doesn't seem to indicate an unwillingness not to play ball. Neither does the Russia if you are listening. Or them relaying the propaganda that had their origins from the Russians.
And Giuliani does nothing to remove any doubt when he's making plans to enlist the Ukrainian govt to dig up crap on Biden of trump admitting that ya, he would take the crap from a foreign govt again.

It's not like little babies and toddlers can refuse when mommy or daddy picks them up and carries them off can they? The topic of the thread concerns the treatment of children. children who probably weren't really given much of a choice. So, how does your statement relate to that?

Not to mention Putin's main goal, per the IC report, was to cause political dissension and undermine faith in our election process. Thanks to Democrats and the media freakout the past 2 years, he's succeeded. The Democrats are the ones doing Putin favors here, unwittingly perhaps, but they're done more to further Putin's agenda than Trump by far.

That's on the parents. I take care of my kids, they can take care of theirs. One common theme that seems to run throughout the left is no personal responsibility. It is always someone else's time and money that should solve their problems.

Wanted to add that a VAST majority have no claim to asylum and thus no reason to even be in the US, which just enforces what I said above.

And one common theme that seems to run pretty strong through this thread from the right is lack of compassion.
The moment the govt removed the kids from their parent's (or the family member they entrusted them to) care it removed any ability their parents had to take care of them and took on that responsibility itself. There has been only on or two of yas even attempting to claim the reports are untrue or exaggerated greatly. Most seem to be running as though the reports are correct and trying to come up with reasons that why the crappy, inadequate care they are getting is somehow justifiable. The main avenue that is being used to do this is to demonize the ones coming over the border. Change the words around just a tiny bit and gee, you will be able to justify that same treatment to those foster kids here in the states, poor families, or any group you wish really. But the reports are describing conditions that are unacceptable. You can accept that the reports are accurate and we can work together to find solutions or at least encourage the wackos in DC to. You can deny the accuracy in which case my answer would be for them to allow at least members of Congress into the places but having a few from the media also would be better and maybe the public could be assured that things aren't that bad. But to accept that our govt can just up and take custody of these kids, often times it seems with no concern about how they are gonna return them to their family and then treat them like this, well you are on a slippery slope that might just lead you to a point where it's your own kids, or grandkids being treated this way. Not to mention that, like I said, many of these kids will probably never be reconnected with their families, and that since we not only put them through hell, but also turned them into virtual orphans, the courts may just decide that they should be allowed to stay here. Look around on the web, there are quite a few articles by medical and psychological professionals about how what we are doing to these kids is negatively affecting both physical and mental health. These kids will have to live the rest of their lives with the damage that is being inflicted on them now. It seems only fair and just that the society the saw fit to treat them like this should have to see the end result of their handiwork.

Lack of compassion?... Where is your lack of compassion about Obama closing the last asylum law for Cubans? Cubans who try to flee the island are treated differently by the Cuban regime, while Mexico and other latin American countries, except leftist countries like Venezuela, do not punish people for leaving... Cubans who have been returned by the laws left-wingers like the Clintons and Obama implemented do get punished. From losing their "libretas" which is the only way to buy the meager rations Cubans are allowed to buy, if there is food, to being incarcerated, or even executed.

I guess you all in the left, worldwide but more so in the U.S., have been lacking compassion for decades...

Here is a list of SOME of the children that the regime of Cuba has murdered as they tried to leave.

Cubans executed or assassinated by theCastro regime for attempting to flee

What's more, since Bill Clinton he ordered the Coast Guard, a military branch, to exercise immigration laws and since then the U.S. Coast Guard have used aggressive tactics including using high pressure water cannons, and hitting the Cuban home made boats with U.S. Coast Guard boats... Where was your compassion then? That still happens to this day, so where is your compassion now about Cubans, including children who are/have been murdered for trying to leave the island, or the countless others who lost their lives at sea, got eaten by sharks or drowned. The Mexican government when they catch Cubans trying to enter Mexico, or try to enter the U.S. are sent back to the communist island and the Mexican government and leftists worldwide shake their hands clean don't giving a crap about the punishment the Cuban regime inflicts upon those who are forcibly returned to the island...

Cubans rush to U.S. shores before easy entry ends

BTW, it isn't easy since they have to spend days at sea. Many Cubans, included children have been eaten by sharks or drowned. Where was you compassion for those people? There are still some who keep on trying even though Obama closed the asylum laws for Cubans. Not to mention that it is very hard to prove that the Cuban regime will punish them if they are returned, even though it is a known fact that the Cuban regime does punish Cubans who have tried to leave, or are returned by force.

The reason why the U.S. had a law that allowed Cubans asylum is because the Cuban government does punish and persecute Cubans, meanwhile people from South America trying to enter the U.S. come to get a job, or to be with their illegal families, or to escape a crime they committed such as murder...

...
In December 2014, President Barack Obama began a long-overdue shift in US policy, announcing that the US would normalize diplomatic relations with Cuba and ease restrictions on travel and commerce, calling on Congress to consider lifting the embargo. In exchange, the government of Raúl Castro granted conditional release to the 53 political prisoners that it had been holding for between two months and two years.

Nevertheless, the Orwellian laws that allowed their imprisonment – and the imprisonment of thousands before them – remain on the books, and the Cuban government continues to repress individuals and groups who criticize the government or call for basic human rights. Arbitrary arrests and short-term detention routinely prevent human rights defenders, independent journalists, and others from gathering or moving freely. Detention is often used pre-emptively to prevent people from participating in peaceful marches or political meetings.
...

www.hrw.org...

As for the claim that Cuba's healthcare and education have become the best under such regime IS A LIE... No independent human rights group is allowed in Cuba, those who have tried to show the world what happens in Cuba are repudiated by the left worldwide, including in the U.S. Heck I have been called by hypocrites in the left as a "CIA agent" for speaking the truth about Cuba...

Imagine a U.S. Coast guard boat hitting constantly a Cuban made raft, or home made boat, or even pressurized water cannons being used against these.

...
The U.S. Coast Guard on Tuesday tried to stop six Cuban refugees from reaching American soil by using a water cannon to sink their small wooden rowboat during a desperate drama that has outraged this community of immigrants and exiles.

After forcing the six men into the Atlantic Ocean a few dozen yards off Surfside beach, several Coast Guard vessels circled around them, blocking their efforts to swim ashore. At one point, a Coast Guardsman was seen dousing one tiring swimmer in the face with pepper spray.
...

Coast Guard Forcibly Halts Cuban Refugees

The above, and more was implemented under orders from Bill Clinton, and Obama closed the last law that would guarantee asylum to Cubans seeking refuge in the U.S.

Of course the Cuban regime has also used very aggressive tactics to stop Cubans from fleeing the communist dictatorship and have sank boats that were even carrying children... None of the children survived and most of the Cuban adults are also left to drown by the regime to this day.

Cuban Coast Guard Sinks Boat Carrying 32 Refugees To Florida, Including Children

So where is your compassion for these people? Where were your demands to Obama to stop his policy change towards Cuban immigration?... Or where have been your calls for Clinton's orders, which are still used to this day, to stop using the military to enforce immigration laws on Cubans who are met with aggressive tactics including the use of high pressurized water cannons, and U.S. Coast Guard boats hitting Cuban made boats/rafts which even have had children in them?...

??? Do we have Cuban children locked up in US detention centers here in the states? Doesn't matter if we do or don't really. If we do then my answer to you is they shouldn't be treated in the manner described by the reports either.
I watched that video you posted in the op. The govts lawyer isnt denying that the kids had no soap or toothbrushes, blankets, or even enough space to lay down and sleep even. She is arguing that having access to soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste, clean clothes and something that isnt a concrete floor and a blanket that keeps them warm are necessary components to a safe and sanitary environment. And if you listen long enough the other lawyer explains how the policies now are different than how they've been in previous administrations.
You keep wanting to center around immigration policy and while I will accept that it is playing a role in the problem, I don't see it as the main point. Our govt has taken custody of children. It's more of a matter of just what standard of care is acceptable for children under the govt"s care. I mean even the Charlottesville driver will be able to sleep in a bed, he has soap and such, clean clothes. If we accept that kids can be treated like this, whatever the circumstances that placed them in the govts care, then what stops the govt from thinking that the foster kids can treated with the same standards?

They are teachers, engineers or farmers, all seeking freedom in the United States. But after an unexpected policy change and an end to special treatment that allowed the majority of Cuban migrants to remain legally in the country, more than 1,300 are now being held at detention centers across the country waiting for their fate to be decided by immigration judges.

“What I heard were stories of people who felt that they literally could not live in Cuba anymore,” said Wendi Adelson, executive director of the Immigration Partnership & Coalition (IMPAC) Fund, a Florida-based organization that raises funds for the defense of undocumented residents without criminal convictions.

“Many say that not even in their wildest dreams would they have imagined that the United States would treat them this way,” she said. “They thought that this was a country of freedom and this was what they came for, to live without the government having its boots on their necks — and now this?”

More than 1,300 Cuban migrants are being held in detention centers across the U.S.

Obama shut down the law allowing Cubans to seek asylum, AND NONE OF YOU IN THE LEFT EVER CARED...

Cubans are persecuted for their political opinions, protesters in Cuba are beaten, tortured and even disappeared/executed, yet none of you in the left EVER cared... Instead you kept allowing democrat POTUS, Clinton and Obama, to close the laws that protected Cubans. But since Cubans tend to be conservatives/republicans THE LEFT NEVER CARED FOR THEM. So you can stop being a hypocrite now.

And BTW, CUBANS have worked to make conditions in detention centers better...

...
Cuban migrants are helping to renovate the immigration detention center and building a new checkpoint and walkway at the neighboring women’s prison.

Prison Director Neil Lavis said some of the migrants are skilled tradespeople and had volunteered to assist with the much-needed upgrades.

The work has allowed a second section of the detention center building, previously deemed uninhabitable, to be opened, doubling capacity.

You do realize these detained migrants that are helping to revamp and expand the detention centers are in the Cayman islands??
And I'm not sure why you are bringing Cuban migrants into this except maybe so you can again point blame at Obama and liberals to avoid having to face the fact that the conditions they are being detained in are not up to an acceptable standard. I don't care where they come from, what color there skin is, once the govt takes it upon itself to detain them, they have an obligation to ensure they recieve humane treatment. Weather you are talking about detained immigrants, children in our foster care system, criminals in our prison system, or terrorists in Guantanamo bay, we are obligated both morally and legally to provide them humane care.
And when our govt agencies are found to be failing in this job (which happens all too often) someone needs to put pressure on them to correct the situation.
