Interesting.

That is the purpose of this book. We do not come expounding a new philosophy, but rather furnishing the outlines of a great world-old teaching which will make clear the teachings of others-which will serve as a Great Reconciler of differing: theories, and opposing doctrines.

Mental gender.

Thanks.
As interesting to look at ideas without gender: would agree that it may be as interesting to add those ideas of opposite, but attracting poles to other concepts as well.

Transgenders amount to .6% of the US population. LGBT (includes the T) amount to 4.5% of the US population.

They are an abnormality, in my opinion. I did not say that they are bad, evil or wrong. But IMO that are not normal in the scheme of nature.
I do not understand why there has to be reading time with a tranny in primary or preschools. I don't understand why they have to have fetish parades celebrating that they were born different than almost everyone else (I am not saying they shouldn't be allowed to have them... just don't get why they want to).
I don't think I will ever understand that.

Call me a homophobe, I don't really give a damn.

And yet you're owned by 1% and you can't do anything about it no matter how loud you cry online

Not that your points aren't interesting however this thread has nothing to do with spirituality or religion.

Religious texts are so open to interpretation that you can use them to justify literally anything. They fit both sides of all arguments.

Well....since 84% of the world population adheres to some sort of religious beliefs.... I feel it is quite reasonable to apply spiritual perspectives to try and understand what is taking place.

As far as religious texts being able to be used to justify anything.. I certainly don't agree with that statement. A sentence whether it is found in a religious book or a secular book is only able to be interpreted within the confines of the definitions of the words used to construct it.

I will say that some religious texts do give the added scope of symbolism not found in most secular books. But even in those cases the definitions of the symbols are given in other parts of the text so that any symbol is not able to be given to any word at the whim of the reader.

Now just on the basis of the fact that a large portion of the religious population holds the belief that God is a singularity..... it means of necessity that the singular expression of God must contain both male and female components. So for those that hold such a belief it would be impossible to justify an aversion to gender neutrality.

Now I am not going to say that I believe most of the transgender community is approaching it from a spiritual perspective....in fact I feel that probably almost none of them are but that does not negate the spiritual aspect of it.

I have come to the belief a long time ago that God does not utilize our conscious efforts to accomplish his purposes but rather he utilizes our blunders and failures to do so..... and advances humanity toward unity and peace through the chaos of our own actions.

As i said the word and its definition has been hijacked to confuse us about birth sex.

If a persons identity does not match their birth sex then they have a psychological problem.

I'm not going to argue over semantics, we both recognise the crux of the argument, don't hide behind linguistics.

The problem is that children are being confused by the mis-information regarding the difference between sex and gender.

Dear God imagine having different words that mean different things. How will the children cope....

So you agree that a man who transitions is still a man?

A woman who identifies as a man is still a woman?

We use both these terms to define sex and gender.

I can see how this could quite easily confuse children. Hell i'm confused by the sheer stupidity of the arguments.

In the eyes of the law this is not the case though all the time so....

If I told you that Zimbabwe was in Australia, would you believe me?

?

Exactly, although you didn't get the point i was trying to prove.

You would agree then that Zimbabwe is not in Australia? Which means it's false or wrong... right?

So, going by that assumption, would you agree that teaching children something which is wrong... is wrong?

Genuinely no idea what point you are trying to make.

The OPs point is extremely obvious. No matter how much surgery or meds you take your biological chromosomes will still be XX or XY. You cannot change your gender, only your appearance. So it is wrong to teach children that you can become the opposite gender if they believe they are.

seeing how gender is MENTALLY how you act as related to your SEX you are partially correct. SEX is what Male or Female is. not gender.

I'm not gonna say too much here in the OP because I and many others on ATS have tried telling people that there is an Agenda to change men to women and vice-versa!

To you lot there's an agenda to everything. I bought a can of tuna yesterday for a quick afternoon snack. I'm sure you'll find a way to write down a bible-sized testament on how the supermarket is trying to convert me into a woman.

David Icke is a con artist who takes advantage of people who suffer from mental illness to sell his books, go to his lectures, and to make him rich. That weirdo believes the Royal British family are Reptilian aliens from outer space. No credibility. No one is trying to turn men into women, although there is no need for that, because most men these days depend on owning a handgun to feel masculine, and honestly, looking around when I go back home to the states I don't really see that many dudes worthy of being called a ''man''.

The numbers of trangender women and men around the world are so low, it's not even worth mentioning it. Grow up, get out of the closet and sleep with a man already.

They should grow up you mean.

99% of the World population did'nt care what these trans people did until they started pushing their agenda onto children and manipulating them into thinking about these things, when they didn't need to know.

They need to stop crying like little children.

I have no problem with kids being taught about alternative lifestyles at an appropriate age, which is a separate argument, not to normalise it or try to change people's gender but just to highlight that this is something that occurs in a normal society. I don't think DVid Ikes views on this are helpful or credible tbh.

Where is this proof that transgender people are forcing their ''agenda'' onto little children? I spend most of my free time watching the news, not just the American news but British, German, Spanish, French, and so forth. I've never listened or read anything concerning ''transexual people manipulating children'' mantra you lot are trying to bring forth. Look, you don't like Transexual people. I don't like obese/overweight people, that's one of the reasons why I moved away from the States.

Avoid what you don't like and you'll be much happier.

Unfortunately, this is usually the only argument people who defend or who are one of these types of people, come up with.

Transphobia the thread. Also, SUPER CRINGE at calling the police on trans people or trans allies. That's some high level bigotry there. That's literally calling for political suppression of a minority by the state. How is this thread allowed to exist?

It’s just like the biggest LZ haters....everyone knows they listen to it,
and at full volume, entire album sides, when they find themselves alone.

It isn’t that complicated...

I'm being a little controversial here, and want to point out I'm speaking as a gay man but...some members of the LGBT community can be aggressive, strident and censorious if any aspects of their views are challenged. I know that from experience. Discussion can quickly devolve into denouncement. So this idea some have of the community trying to force their views on others isn't without precedent.

Then again many members of the community are not like that, have more moderate views. Just as with any group you will have the ones pushing their agenda, others more moderate and willing to come to some agreement.

Unfortunately with this issue the battles lines are drawn and you have two opposing sides that are inflexible.

Because I've had many men who speak against homosexuality and the ''gay agenda'' hit on me when no one is watching, so who knows if this guy ain't in the same boat.

Apparently there are a lot of ''straight'' men who are into twinks LOL 😡

Uh, Scooby, you do know right that the big effort to introduce this type teaching materials is being made in the "public" schools? Leftists get what Leftists want in the public schools because..............Leftists run the public schools. Its delusional to think you can get this stuff banned from the "public" schools.

If you don't want your children of tender years scrambled and confused by this crap...............home school or put them in a private school!

I guess you fail to grasp that as the Leftist agenda makes ever greater inroads in the "public" square, what's being created is a two tier system. There is the "public" system, owned, operated and controlled by the so-called "Progressive" Leftists and then there's the "unseen" "private" sets of systems you never really hear anything about, working behind the scenes as a refuge for people with brains.

The "public" system is altogether and an entirely lost cause............kinda like border control.

Ehhh, Sweden and the Scandinavian Countries are socialistic in nature and in behavior, and the majority of men over there in those nations aren't gay, bisexual, nor trans. Relax man, there is no such thing as homosexuality being taught. It's either there, or it ain't.

Honestly, I feel that there's many ''straight'' men who haven't figured out they're attracted to men, yet, because they've never been around attractive men to begin with. I reckon that many men would realize human sexuality is fluid, if they got to meet a guy like Rodrigo Santoro -> data.whicdn.com...
