I don't get it, what has he done so wrong to provoke such anger compared to some of the despots who have had state visits and a cup of tea with the queen over the years?
Trump baby blimp back and could be even bigger for state visit

“We are very confident there will be more than a quarter of a million protesters. Trump’s visit last year mobilised a large number of people, but a year later the man has done more to rip up human rights, step back from international norms, continued his climate denialism and fuelled white nationalism."

What human rights has he ripped up?
Which international norms are they whining about?
Climate change denial? Well, 90% plus of scientific academia in the world disagree with him so I'll concede that, but really? The protest will not change his policy, so if you want to be holier than thou then protest the UK government to get our own ship in order for carbon neutrality first.
Fuelled white nationalism? Give me a #ing break, his border and immigration policies are less strict than the UK's, nothing to do with race, if I overstayed a visa in the US I'd expect to be kicked out if caught, and I'm white as snow.

I'm no fan of him, but he's better than the loony Dems from everything I read, Hilary would have dragged Britain into another war if she had won, but Trump is less gung ho killing brown people and wasting money/resources.

So to Brit members especially, why do you think the left (including London's mayor and senior opposition politicians) have such a bee in their bonnets about Trump having a chit chat with her Majesty - and why the outrage when the UK has given state visits to some real tyrants in recent years? Few hundred people at best when the Chinese leader came.

US members please do chime in your thoughts, it must seem as crazy to you as it does to me with all the things going on in the world to protest over.

All thoughts welcome, I've been to many protests in London over the years, but protesting Trump is one of the last reasons I'd catch a train to London for.
I'd probably get arrested for ripping up their stupid Socialist Worker posters up lo! 😂

Its fashionable. Nothing more.

When you ask your average Trump hater why they hate him, you end up with an array of specious nonsense (at best) related to his personality, not his leadership. If anyone tries to broach the leadership, then it is typically slanted liberal media spin, like how he is caging mexicans at the border.

Its all about whats fashionable.

Wait a sec here... You think liberals, progressives, sjws, etc need a reason? Their lives are built on hate and self-loathing, dysfunction at its base. The democrats, liberals, progressives, sjws, etc have factions all over the world that cooperate under their globalist handlers to exploit their programmed hate and self-loathing. It wouldn't surprise me if the Clinton foundation, obama foundation or soros were paying people to protest. We've seen this kind of activity in newspapers and craigslist ads before on many occasions.

Cheers - Dave

Blame the media, yet if you ask any of them to come up with reasons they dislike they man they either can’t or the reason is laughable at best.

Given the FACT that Trump threw microwaved hot slices bologna, like little frisbees, at Russian hookers in a motel room, he's a SEXIST and needs to be impeached.

I haven't understood the hatred for Trump since the beginning. He says stupid things. I don't care about that or anything unrelated to his job as president. Why people want a better liar as president is something that just doesn't make sense to me. It's as if these people forget about any of our past presidents and what they actually did that was terrible. I can ignore some stupid words I don't like if the country moves in a better direction.

Do you remember when the left was represented by the Labour Party and they were all about workers rights and represented the working class of this country?

Well when all those jobs went off to China and other 3rd world countries with cheap labour and no workers rights, the working class became the non working class in this country. As such they became dependent on state handouts and over a generation or two their values and ethics changed and instead of proud hard working people they morphed into the types we see on Jeremy Kyle.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the job centres have told them to go and protest if they want to keep their benefits.. Though most of the protesters will be middle class employees of the government in some shape or form, sheltered from reality with cushty jobs for life and a generous pension scheme to boot. They think and believe whatever the British Bull#ing Corporation tells them to.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not keen on Trump at all, but the shear perpetual attacks against him are utterly absurd. It just goes to show that these people who hate him so much have such easy care free lives they have nothing else to worry about in their own little bubbles.

No great lover of Trump.

But there's been a damn sight worse people visit these shores than him often with little or no protest.

At the end of the day he's the President of our 'greatest' ally and deserves a certain level of respect.

Some people seem to love to whinge, moan and protest.....must be incredibly tiring and very, very boring.

I suggest they go to the pub more often, stop being so sensitive and engage in the UK's biggest past time.....taking the piss.

While I do not disagree with this assessment I find it no great chore to discern this motive(?) in just about everything. Our modern western society is held together by fashion. What is in fashion at any moment is motivated by the desire to be part of the crowd. Any crowd, be it liberal or conservative.

Liberal mantras are easy to learn and then to regurgitate as if that makes one an intellectual. Likewise, conservative mantras are just as easy to learn and regurgitate as if that makes one a patriot.

They dont even know why they will be protesting.

Just lemmings lining up and reacting based on the person next to them.

Fashion affects younger more greatly. Older people have much smaller social circles and are less interested in maintaining an appearance of being fashionable. Its why we will do stuff like wears socks with Crocs.

Not an absolute statement at all. But younger people tend to be swept into memes much more than older people.

I couldn't agree more, but with yin comes yang.

It's also made a fashionable rebellion against their very cause.

Many dissidents from both sides of the spectrum have been blasting mainstream media for decades, but honestly, I think the Republicans are benefiting the most from this situation. How many independents have we seen at the very least side with the right or outright join it.

Keep in mind, this comes from a place of indifference with me, tis merely an observation before anyone jumps to conclusions that I have a dog in this fight.

Maybe they are all drinking the Socialist Kool-Aid and are bored now... with nothing else to do except protest and sleep.
