What the hell is going on here?

CHICAGO — An attorney for Jussie Smollett has written a letter warning that if Chicago follows through on its vow to sue the ‘‘Empire’’ actor for the cost of the investigation into his claim that he was attacked, he’ll demand sworn testimony from Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the police chief and others.

Source

If you don’t have enough Smollett in your diet, here is the latest. Jussie's high profile "attorney" appears to know something we don’t and is now making threats against those he believes is conspiring against his client. It was also mentioned yesterday on The View, that Smollet will be rehired for the sixth season of Empire.

What a lucky guy!!

Geragos also said he will demand sworn depositions from the two brothers who told police that Smollett paid them to stage the attack, as well as their attorney and their attorney’s husband. He said he will also demand all the paperwork generated in the investigation.

Smollet’s court file has been sealed and a decision will be made soon to unseal it at the request of several media organizations. It would be important to learn what transpired, after the initial "Might need your help on the low. You around to meet up and talk face to face?" text message from Jussie to one of the brothers was made. At this point, either release the hounds or release the file if there is nothing to hide.

Why would his attorney say anything otherwise?

I like what the city of Chicago is doing to Jussie here. If he pays the fine, he looks guilty -because what truly innocent would pay a $130k fine, but if he fights back, he risks reopening his case being looked at... not to mention federal hasnt chimed in yet, so there's always that...

This guy had a powerful friend in the DA’s office, the very DA that recused herself when it became known he was a suspect. A powerful lawyer who was an ex-judge and appointee of the governor on some commission.

What’s in his favor is the case is over they can’t try him again on any of those charges

Kim Foxx gave this moron a gift. If he were truly as intelligent, as he thinks he is... he would have wrote the city a check, and disappeared for awhile.

Instead, this mental midget has demanded apologies from the city, the police department, the mayor's office... Chicago politicians can be brutal, and this dude is poking the proverbial bear... with bacon scented skewers.

To be this brazen, requires heavy-hitters behind the scenes. My money is on Kamala Harris... I think she has had a hand in the whole thing. If he keeps flapping his gums, he is either gonna "out" someone... or die in a tragic 2-bullet suicide.

The city of Chicago should proceed with suing this azzhat. Mark Geragos has many skeletons in his closet, that I'm sure will be exposed for all to see. Pop that popcorn...this is going to get good!

From 2015:

Advocacy Group A Just Cause Has Appealed to the California Bar Alleging That Attorney Mark Geragos Violated Rules of Professional Conduct

www.marketwatch.com... rules-of-professional-conduct-2015-05-12

Just recently:

Now Geragos might need a defense attorney himself after being named in a case accusing lawyer Michael Avenatti of trying to extort Nike. Geragos is not charged with a crime but two people familiar with the investigation confirmed Monday that he is the unidentified co-conspirator in court papers charging Avenatti with attempting to shake down Nike for $25 million by threatening the company with bad publicity. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because the information was not made public by prosecutors. Geragos, 61, didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Maybe he was hired by the Chicago powers that be, they've thrown him under a bus and he's threatening to expose them.

Maybe Jussie is the patsy?

They all stink.

This entire thing stinks. .. I'm starting to think that Rahm is simply 'acting out' his role. We know he's lousy at running Chicago, look at it, more crime than most places on the planet. He's no role model and this is just a stage to him and his handlers.

If he did nothing about Jussie Smollett's case, people would be asking more questions. Such a sad undignified world we're living in right now where wrong is right and liberalism has morphed into an ugly 3 eyed monstrosity.

He never made it to trial, and his charges were dropped. Double jeapardy would only apply if he were acquitted or convicted.

Personally, as brazen as he has been, I believe that he has more than a Kamala card in his back pocket. It was an assistant to Michelle Obama who had contacted the DA.

and that is all the more reason to expose this and get it all out in the open. It can't just go away at this point. TO many folks are involved and captivated. If by some miracle, Jussie really is innocent, he would be the hero of the world, though I don't see how that would happen based on the facts.

Sue his ass, and lets call that bluff.

Jussie's attorneys have to be the most stupid on the planet. They're all trying to save face for their ignorant television appearances claiming Jussie's innocence. I have no doubt that there were some mistakes made and not so accurate information leaked by CPD, but that sill doesn't change the overwhelming evidence against Smollett. Make no doubt about it, Jussie is still paying off the brothers to play along in this charade and he's hoping that they'll be the ones to muck up the civil case enough to leave everyone scratching their heads. In the end, Smollett will never be able to regain any sense of truth or integrity from the public.

As for the woman on "The View", she admitted that she didn't even know if "Empire" was coming back on for a 6th season, so she has absolutely no idea if Jussie will be in it or not. She only claimed that she hadn't heard anything stating that they wouldn't bring him back, but that doesn't mean a darned thing. I'm doubting that "Empire" ever makes it back on the air, and if it does, it will be a short season.

By the way, I read one article by Rolling Stone that claimed that the car the brothers used when they made a trip to the store to buy supplies belonged to Jussie. I don't know if that's true since the police reports show that his condo management pointed out that Jussie drove a black Mercedes and also claim that the brothers were driving a silver Mercedes. Whether or not Jussie has two vehicles in Chicago remains to be seen, but I agree that the city should proceed with their civil suit so that America can hear and see the evidence for themselves to make their own decision since Jussie's so intent on proclaiming his innocence and throw everyone else under the bus.

And this is what their brand of black privilege looks like. No one can raise a hand against them because of their skin color, if it leads back to Saint Obama of Clockboy, there can't be repercussions; 'tis verboten. The first black president and his political cohorts are not to be maligned! Sure, money has a lot to do with it but if every role were reversed a white boy faking a hate crime in Hollywood would be thrown to the wolves regardless (and more likely because of) his political connections. Look at Roseanne and how she got unceremoniously killed off by opiates (lolz, right Dems, such a joke the white plague of opiates is) when she said something they simply considered racist.

People are amusing. To actually think justice will be done. If this case has to be reopened, either way some person who we have never heard of would take the fall. It goes like this in every case through the decades. The only difference is that they are more in your face about it these days, because they know it doesn't matter. People are so gone that the elite are probably wondering why they even ever tried to hide their deeds in the first place. They could eat babies on live tv and it wouldn't change a thing.
