Were you aware that the US was not the only country that had slaves? Maybe we can get Africa to pay reparations too because they sold their own into shavery. Oh by the way, Michelle Obama’s Family is reputed to have been slaveowners.

Yes. At the time of the Civil War, the population of the Northern states was more than double that of the Southern (Slave owning) states.


2/3 of the white people in the USA at that time fought a bloody war to free the black slaves.


So if you want to talk about racism, how is it not racist to blame 100% of the white population for the actions of 33% of the white people? How do the other 66% get blamed?

Isn't blaming a whole race for the actions of a few members of that race kind of racist?

By the logic I'm being presented with, EVERY beneficiary of the slave trade owes something, whether they (or rather their now distant ancestors) kept any slaves or not.

England's empire was vast at the time, so technically EVERY former colony of England owes something. India, Burma, certainly Hong Kong (which means China would owe because they now possess Hong Kong.)

So when do we go to Africa to get the reparation?

While we are at it, let's go to Morocco and people of European descent can get repairations for all the white people who were captured from their homes by the Barbary pirates, and taken back to Morocco to be sold as slaves.

350,000 will have a few million decedents alive to divide the pie with. Pieces will be really small
