Sounds like praise for checks and balances. The need to follow procedure and the will of the people.

Good for him. Manafort is a stand up guy.

I wouldn't say that. But he hardly deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison. His offenses simply are not that severe.

I'm glad Ellis tossed the sentencing recommendation in the trash and focused on what would be an actual just sentence.

Nine months of Paul Manafort's 47 month sentence have already been served. Judge Ellis said the 24 year sentence recommendation from Bob Mueller was crazy.

www.foxnews.com...

Bob Mueller's indictments have been akin to using a sledge-hammer to squash ants, in this witch-hunt. Retired NYC prosecutor (Andy McCarthy) said a freshman Federal Prosecutor could have done what Mueller has "accomplished" over the past 2 years, using 90% fewer resources.

I would think that seat was Barr's.

That pen seems to have a black tip on the cap though it's hard to tell.

Two pens on legal lined pad?

Maybe Huber and Barr?

Yellow tie and you can see Barr's tie in the table reflection it is red though the reflection seems to show someone with a solid red tie, his is not solid.

It's hard to tell.

The meeting is still a good sign though, regardless!

A long time ago and relying on memory only, Russian delegates handed out pens as gifts.

The pens were pens and they were also listening devices.

The Russian ruse was discovered quickly and the Russians had an enormous belly laugh about it ... but ... what if?

I would suggest that in this modern era, listening devices may well be very hard to spot.

I wonder if the pens have significance ... perhaps connecting to wi-fi or similar.

James Bond has exploding pens ... boom? Lol.

Accepted like candy to school kids.

HMM.
