Re GKN, one of my earliest clients in 80s for outsourcing was GKN Avery (made weighing machines). Their staff and processes all struck me as very similar to civil servants - work as little as possible and pass the buck.

After that I swore to avoid manufacturing companies wherever possible.

The cell page was interesting but i'ld guess only identifies about 1 or 2% of the secret bases.

Re Ciaran Martin, the christian name is Irish! I would hazard a guess he has links to the deep state stuff in Northern Ireland. GCHQ had a surprisingly large percentage of Northern Irish managers in the 70s/80s... I know because my Best Man's dad was one of them.
