I don't find the video that groundbreaking either. I am waiting for the Holloman Landing.

TFT posting here is interesting;

A. If the video is a fake or not related to the Nimitz encounter. Shows more disregard for accuracy from the TTSA gang.
B. As a possible indication of a botched TTSA-style roll out ten years ago. Remember Cometa's post about a UFO web site where all this information would live, etc.

Here's the UFO Conference Fravor video....It's a bit awkward and weird.

As for all the other stuff about downloading and copying official video from Navy computers. Then putting it out there on the internet without any form of clearance would appear to violate rules, regulations and laws wouldn't it?

Even if we believe the never quite clear George Knapp released DD1910 form. That video was not cleared for any sort of release before August 24th 2017.

But as always there are mirrors there is smoke. The characters involved are slowly revealing who they really are and the side they have taken. Let's hope they chose they right one. History will judge them.

RICHARD DOLAN.... CLAIMS this is the most significant UFO LEAK of the CENTURY!!

Why do I believe this was done to distract or capitalize on TTSA/Nimtz

If you mean the 1971 landing, would Betty Hill's sceptics be tamed by the 'fact' that those aliens had big noses? (Mind you, I think Betty's "Jimmy Durante" beings only existed in her dreams; under regression they were more like standard aliens.)

What we need is a tic-tac UFO video that depicts aliens doing a tap-dance on its surface, with perhaps a group rendition of 'Putting On The Ritz' as a show-stopping finale. You know, to entertain these brave pilots. But not in IR, please - the colours on the aliens' cabaret sequins would be ruined.

If Fravor could hop out and join them for the finale, all the better - I'd be the first believer in the queue. Move over, young guns!

Well this leaked transcript says the entire UFO program is tied up in a "major defense contractor" which everyone just assumes is Lockheed. And then tomorrow night on (where else) The History Channel we have this strangely timed special:

Secrets in the Sky: The Untold Story of Skunkworks

Its really hard for me to take any of Metabunk's analysis of the videos seriously....
It really is armchair amateur pseudo-experts analysis on the internet.

I guess I don't subscribe to any side until someone waaaay smarter than me that crunches the numbers says
that EITHER TTSA worked it out correctly or TTSA DID hide info and their analysis is incorrect.

Why jump to TTSA got it right?

The Go Fast video ends with a timestamp of 4254 and Gimbal begins at 5245. Most seem to have made the mistake of interpreting that to mean a difference of 5245-4254=991 seconds, that is 16 minutes and 31 seconds. That is incorrect. Those timestamps actually show minutes and seconds, as can be seen from the Gimbal clip, where the timestamp changes from 5259 to 5300. So those were taken only 9 minutes and 51 seconds apart.

I can't even see Richard Dolan's take without joining his members only plan.

I'd pay the $10.00 to NOT have to watch it.

Funny I was going to post that its seems to be getting out there in the ether..... That a private company is in possession of crashed UAP, most likely Skunkworks.

Its interesting how this info seeps into ufology consciousness...I know I'm late to the game but I am hearing this more often.

Why jump to TTSA got it right?

Because it's not just them. NYT, WASHPOST, and Politico hired external experts to ensure that they don't risk damaging their reputation by publishing a video of a bird or balloon.

Unless you can cite a specific objection this means I have to stop taking you seriously. I have yet to find where Mick West's analysis is wrong, not that he can't make a mistake, maybe he has and I haven't seen it yet.

The thing I like about metabunk's Mick West is he doesn't expect you to rely on his analysis, he puts it out there and you can judge for yourself.

If it was a matter of "taking sides", just going by credentials one would expect that a man named Bruce Maccabee with a PhD in optical physics has impeccable credentials, and I think he's the "retired physicist" West refers to who wrote a paper on the "impossible acceleration" seen in the Nimitz video. The math and calculations done by Maccabee are no doubt correct to the extent that they show one apparent velocity, then an apparent "incredible acceleration" and then another higher apparent velocity.

But he apparently neglected to notice the zoom change on the display, and after accounting for that as Mick West has done, the acceleration is not only not incredible, it appears there isn't any acceleration at all, the speed appears to be constant.

So this isn't about "taking sides", it's about using your own brain to evaluate the facts and decide who was right. If you just take sides on credentials you'd go with the optical physicist, but you'd be wrong, because the optical physicist overlooked something. After all he's not a fighter pilot so he's not intimately familiar with a fighter pilot's display, and zoom settings.

Errors in Nimitz UFO g-force Analyses

celltypespecific, if you have some specific critique of the findings in that metabunk video or others on this topic, please state specifically what they are, but to make sweeping comments like you did about metabunk without any specifics paints you as a foolish person to me. It's not really the topic here but he managed to identify a UFO that the entire resources of the country of Chile was unable to identify. Maybe he is an armchair analyst, but in the internet age where he can download an incredible amount of commercial flight data and other information and analyze it, why would someone need to leave their armchair to do that?

It's the internet age where that is possible and West has some pretty good computer skills, but he's not really expecting you to take his word for it, he will link you to the sources he used where you can duplicate the analysis yourself. If you had some limited computer skills you could duplicate that "Errors in Nimitz UFO g-force Analyses" yourself, now that you know what the PhD physicist overlooked.

You are the person I was thinking of when I posted about smarter people

Caring about credentials I didn't mention, I just don't have the brains for the math so am agnostic til people who can crunch it do just that and then the rest of us can make better informed decisions on who was right. I think that's what I was saying? maybe I wasn't clear.

I don't get why he jumps to TTSA are right and Meta are wrong without any deeper analysis and research. well I do get why he does, but I can't say it out loud lol.

The leak of the century?

I hope not.

Dolan IMO overhyped this leak of the century

Maybe leak of the week or the day or month, at best.

Well, Celltypespecific IS a neuroscientist, so it seems like he/she should have the capacity to do the math and follow Metabunk's analysis. Neuroscientist.

I am not going to argue this point....

I am 100% certain that the videos are not of a bird....a balloon....or another plane.
The data is EXTENSIVE on this point. You do realize that there is RADAR data supporting the videos right...along with EYEWITNESS testimony for anyone to ignore this is simply mindbloggingly to me.

Let's just let it play out....

Agreed. I found it very compelling. A top-contender for an explanation actually.

One thing cool about ATS is that if we really want to learn and grow when we're new to "ufology" we usually do.

Maybe celltypespecific will be one of those if he's willing to follow the truth wherever it leads. I'm not looking for what I want to hear---I'd personally rather have a fantasy crushed than to follow dead leads.

I've been disappointed at many a case that sounded promising initially but turned out to be B.S. It happens a lot, cell. That's why the birds--the aviary and team Bigelow truly piss me off. Pardon my Francois.

This is not a bad case but this isn’t a particularly spectacular or extraordinary one either.

Of course, we’re not new to this therefore may be a bit jaded and don’t get excited at another video.

I've been hearing some takes on the various TTSA cast that had hit me about them too.

Chris Mellon is pretty durn smooth. I'd like him if I didn't know he was pulling my leg.

Steve Justice is cool as heck. His impressive intelligence is quickly evident. I think he might actually believe he's there for the truth. Not sure, of course, but I like the guy.

Elizondo is very bright but not as bright as he thinks he is. And he's smooth, too, but not Chris Mellon smooth. And did I mention "sneaky."

Tom is just along for the ride man. PuffPuffPass.

Dr. Hal "E-Meter & Chicken Eggs" Puthoff is still the mystery man and very hard to get in a shot because he's tiny. Sneaky too, we know. But how smooth or how bright remains more of a mystery than whether TTSA is on the up & up or not since nobody has given him permission to speak yet. Might have to wait until the mystery metal plot-line hits the poop-deck as they like to say in the Navy and, almost assuredly, the Nimitz that day.

Chris Mellon looked like he was high to me. Or had very little sleep.

TDL was bored with the nuts and bolts of ufo research.

TTSA ought to change their name to

Trying my best to watch it but something about this feels off....

Also Richard Dolan is always promoting his buddy Hal.
He keeps mention Hal's video that you have to pay $4.99 to watch on venmo about the meta-materials.
