I could not agree more with Deep's comment below... what is it about this topic that drives men (and women) Mad....

Very true. Although I think a lot of them are already mad before they get into the topic!

Kurt Andersen's 2 minute video below is a more general comment on American society's detachment from reality but applies very much when it comes to the crazy world of ufology. There also an indepth article here that accompanies it.

Like I keep saying ufology just keeps regurgitating old mythology that is either long debunked or lacking enough data to take a case forward. It is on a constant rinse and repeat cycle. This is why you have grifters like "Jeremy Cameron Friedma Dolan Howe" working the ufo entertainment circuit and never solving anything but "proclaiming" the truth as their blind followers want to hear it.

I dare say that because the real truth might well be unacceptable to the majority of people who follow belief instead of where the data takes you. If there really is nothing to disclose. Or even if what could be disclosed is not what many expect then this con-trick will work forever. This is why TTSA are given an infinite amount of time by their followers...

Ufology is being kept permanently kept on hold because the large bulk of its fanbase wants it.

Talking of Doty was Isaac Koi about to deliver info on him, or have I got that wrong? I seem to recall something on the matter which did not transpire.

I had indeed made contact with Richard Doty - then I hesitated about some of the areas I was heading into.

(Basically, getting involved in some of the more controversial areas of ufology was costing me more contacts and access to information than it seemed worth. I upset a few people. During the last year or so, my few public UFO posts have very much stuck to non-controversial - if not dull... - topics).

Unfortunately, sticking to the dull topics is rather boring, not to mention I have problems sitting still and listening to a lot of nonsense - so it may be time to have a bit of fun...

America has become a nation of conspiracy theorists on both the left and the right.

The question for me is how much of this is just a natural irrational digression and how much has been helped along by certain forces interested in manipulating perceptions?

I am reminded of a comment by rock critic Robert Christgau in a review of a Black Sabbath record (and I am paraphrasing here) that he knew the 60s left youth movement was in trouble when he saw the first astrology column in an underground newspaper.

I can't help but think of this when we have a company helmed by a team of ex-intelligence officers publishing books that say "yes, the supernatural is real and we are going to work to get the truth out."

I'm not sure that's a bad thing:

And who could blame them for clinging to myths in Lue of facts? Credit where credit is due.

A pity Isaac, perhaps you might re- consider at another time. Doty is a hot topic here and there so it seems.

All work and no play can make Jack a very dull boy, so I guess we might be treated to some fun then ?

Thanks for stepping by Isaac.

I can imagine that "ufology" and use the "logy" aspect very very loosely, would be ripe for a psychological and indeed sociological study. If I was writing a thesis or indeed a dissertation on those subject matters; "ufology" is a topic I would certainly cover.

I have been discussing these very topics with a Doctor of Psychology at a local university. They have also looked into the world of UFOs and conspiracy and the effects this has on people in terms of psychological implications, even how peoples thoughts processes and actions are affected as a result. The world of academia itself is also a rigid belief system, which has its own failings and that also has been evident in my discussions with them.

I can also imagine, that if anyone wanted to seed an idea / meme into ufology - that supported ideas that were already accepted as truth, a considerable amount of control could be utilized. Ufology "could" be a conspiracy within one; not without a sense of irony from what I said above; but where better else to hide things that you don't want found?

Throw it into the pit of crazy people - disinformation is not needed as much any more - thrown people a bone and they will devour it and regurgitate it to anyone else who will listen. We don't need Doty's anymore - there are plenty that will do that job for free.

Wise words, Pigsy.

Fifteen years have passed by since SERPO, for example - ripe for a brand new generation to devour whilst ignoring previous debunkings... before the whole farce is regurgitated again in 2035... and so on.... and so forth...

With plenty of new Dotys appearing along the way.

That means the experiencer group, referenced in numerous places, including Jacobsen's excellent Phenomenon are all victims of terrestrial projects. Think about that. Gamma, microwave, UV and terahertz injuries from something made here. That means that John Burroughs, saved by Dr Green's intervention, was not injured by aliens but by earthly "perpetrators" with some sort of device that generates the aforementioned radiations. The RFI at least is at the centre of the change.

One might want to research closely Jacques Valles sojourns in South America, particularly Brazil, where the ufo incidents involved some kind of laser type light very ferociously zeroing in on some innocent civilians and often severely harming them and some, I recall, even died.

The US military’s so-called non-lethal weapons had to be used somewhere on some live people, and I've always suspected these Brazil ufos may have been " non-lethal" weapons being tested.

Any information related to this, I think, is in Valles FS 4 and can get the name that they called these “ ufos”

I don’t want to be disagreeable. But dealing with a Doty is a bottomless pit. He has nothing to contribute, IMO.

He’s like a wolf waiting for sheep to pass his way.

Isaac dealt with him and was about to discuss him further. I was curious to know why this did not occur. Few are Doty fans that seems clear. Still, it was interesting that Isaac had some kind of interaction with him.

If anyone deals with Doty, fine, but IMHO, they should lay it on him hard:

Question him about his IP number showing up in the Serpo hoax

Question him about the sinister scam he did to Bennewitz

Question him about the scam he did on Linda Howe

Unlike, Steven Greer, who actually had that lying clown on his documentary as a source, he needs to be marginalized.

We’ll never get to the truth through documented liars

They are veils to any truth

Chupas – Mysterious Flying Menace in Brazil's Countryside

www.ufocasebook.com...

In 1977, the Brazilian government heard complaints of a phenomenon attacking locals. Witnesses describe the phenomenon as small square metallic objects, a few feet on each side, that flies 20 to 30 feet off the ground, hovers, and emits a hum most describe resembling that of a refrigerator. These objects fly through the treetops at night and seem to aggressively attack locals.

In Valles's book Confrontations, he goes over experiences he had studying many Brazilians who had confrontations with these Chupas.

I agree, there are the greers of the world and there are the mick west's of the world. I do think there is a grey middle ground that can used as a foundation for looking at all things without going gaga at everything and in the same light not thinking everything can be explained away so easily when there are genuine mysteries.

Balanced critical thinking and data BUT with a good dose of imagination and an openness to other things outside personal biases is needed but that's just me

I was only interested in what the situation was with Isaac and Doty as there was going to be further info. Doty appeared on Isaacs Facebook then a very short while after Doty was on John Burroughs radio show. Ronnie Dugdale one of the Rendlesham researchers appeared pretty taken in by Dotys information. It is clear Isaac decided not to discuss whatever it was he was planning re Doty. Anyway doesn't Dr Green kind of hold a fair bit of liking toward Doty? Strange stuff.

Yeah. No. I think we'd get along quite well. Actually, I'd love to have my illusions disappear in a smoke plume while we're having a few pints...

And with regards to the lies, I don't think leaving out the dynastic Doty tree of misinfo would have any impact at all in this ToTheSpiesAdventure.

a reply to: Baablacksheep

Why? That's a few valid points right there, you should definitely try to be louder!

Green and Doty share a weird sort of day-job, and while they may have some respect for the professional work they're still free to despise each other on a more personal level. Who cares? I don't think Greer is totally off track with citing Doty as one of his witnesses, even if that might lead to actual disinformation which challenges the alleged search for truth. Actually, I think he should try to get a few statements from Kit Green as well.

It's a very interesting interview for multiple reasons. In order to have disinfo and propaganda work it's charme, you'll have to mix in bits of the truth from time to time. Hence we could re-engineer parts of that (and the disinfo program) with sorting out the Bollocks. Sadly, this seems to be a Sisyphus operation of sorts, which is why a (more or less) repetitive line of inquiries might help to verify his statements, and in a best case scenario it might even provoke him to spill more beans.

Here's the interview in question:

Richard Doty was a Special Agent for Counter-Intelligence for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). For over eight years, he was specifically tasked with the UFO/Extraterrestrial issue at Kirkland Air Force Base in New Mexico and also at Nellis Air Force Base (the so-called Area 51) and at other locations.

In July of 2016, Dr. Greer met Richard Doty in Albuquerque, New Mexico for an explosive and revealing two-hour interview where Doty confirmed the existence of a False Flag operation involving UFOs, the corruption of the media, the U.S. government's responsibility for civilian injuries in the famous Cash-Landrum UFO case, and much more.
