Video just in from Venezuela shows the Venezuelan National Guard OPENING FIRE on a Humanitarian-Aid Convoy Delegation attempting to travel to the Colombian Border to organize food distribution to starving Venezuelans!

Are they eating people yet in venezuela?

What a # show, the neighboring countries need to intervene at some point.

There is no reason anyone would make this up.... No way.

In his big President's day speech, President Trump warned the military not to attack the food convoy. Sounds like it's arrived early. Wasn't expected until Saturday.

Horrible Late-breaking News. MADURO is closing down borders and bridges into Venezuela, one-by-one.

Maduro said the land border with Brazil would be “completely and absolutely” closed from 8:00 pm (0000 GMT) “until further notice,” following a meeting with the military high command.

The embattled socialist leader also said he was considering “a total closure of the border with Colombia” to Venezuela’s west.

He has already ordered the military to barricade a major border bridge to prevent supplies from entering the country from Cucuta, Colombia, where tons of humanitarian aid are being stockpiled, most of it from the United States.

He said he was mulling the Colombia border closure following provocations from Colombian President Ivan Duque and US President Donald Trump.

Its getting to the point where if its reported in the media then its probably safe to assume the complete opposite of whats being reported is true.

Wonder if this “aid convoy” is anything like the Syrian ones, not an ounce of food but plenty of weapons.

If this gets more widely reported, and evidence comes out there was an incident, I anticipate Trump and his opposition to be lock and step.

I bet the media will still run anti Trump stories while they start priming the country for intervention to some degree.

And I bet people from both sides act like we're hearing the truth and some weird kumbaya topic.

I expect the conversation to be similar to that of Iraq in the early 2000's... "you're not a patriot if you don't get behind this" "you don't care about Venezuelan's"... Ect. Ad nauseum.

Most of all, I expect an utter quagmire.

And above all, I hope I'm wrong.

While I wouldn't discount a bait and switch, I think we were shown our objectives in Syria weren't worth the risk In congested proxy.

I'm leaning towards Venezuela.

Turkey will likely continue to grow it's gravitation towards Russia, and out of NATO. Our failed attempts have left us more enemies than allies in the ME.

Venezuela has more oil than Saudi Arabia who by every indicator shows to be more of a belligerent at best, enemy at worst. Venezuelato proves to be more of an interest.

Their oil has a thicker viscosity, but is in our immediate sphere of influence. It will prove to be less effort than projecting ourselves to a powder keg across the world.

Again, I truly hope I'm wrong.

I don't believe in all the theatrics and playing games while an entire population suffers. If Maduro is the problem, get rid of him with a precision cruise missile. Bring in the other guy, get relief to citizens, and start re-energizing the economy.
