J-20 ditched Russian engine for WS-10C which as serrated nozzles.

Semi official sources have stated the J-20 flew a circumnavigation flight around Taiwan. The Taiwanese did not react, as I understand it, they do to Mainlander incursions of their air space. Whether it was the Taiwanese being coy about its detection or they really just didn't see it, it remains to be seen.

WS-10 (probably) or WS-15 engine with thrust vectoring.

I'm fairly sure that's the WS-10B-3 with a different nozzle on it. The J-10 with the -10B-3 engine has a similar looking nozzle, but longer.

Fair warning. In China watcher circles, Minnie Chan is worse than Rogoway.

There's a claim the inlet has been changed. Others are stating it was just the angle.



Parade prep. These are all Russian engined from local reports based on the turkey feathers.

The Chinese and Russians have been conducting a joint exercise. The Russians participated on the ground by using Chinese armor, etc. The Chinese sent J-20s to participate in the air combat segment.
