I'd generally agree that we have a sue-first mentality here in the west, but in this circumstance I don't see any other option. What else are you supposed to do when a national publication slanders you on a national broadcast? They didn't even apologize, they just doubled down on their bullsh*t.

Relax. This was meant to be in the sarcastic sense as the phrase was mocked on southpark.

I love how the media gave a pass to the black group that was being blatantly racist and homophobic, but called the white kids racist because they wore hats associated with Donald Trump.

That said far more about the media than it did about the Covington kids.

Our so-called media definitely needs to be hauled into court to answer for their actions.

Jim Carrey, Kathy Griffith, and perhaps a few others need to be institutionalized.

maybe this will be the first step towards a new amendment that are designed to hold the media accountable when they try to slander innocent people, as john adams described later in his life, believing that the media would become a monster if left unchecked. hope it goes that far so sanity can return to America.

free speech should be for people not corporations.

They are absolutely 100% innocent in this instance. Not sure how someone could say otherwise.

No need for new laws. There are currently laws against slander and libel. Why on earth would "more laws" or "new amendments" be needed? As with the problem with illegal aliens---just enforce the blessed laws!

Did the first lady call for "new laws" or did she just collect because the publication broke existing laws?

I honestly don't understand why people feel the need to cry for more legislation when enforcing the agreed-upon legislation will work.

Busting up the "Trust" that had become msm is another matter entirely.
