People do crazy things when threatened with a federal prison stint.

Not that I know from personal experience of course but a guy that knows a guy told me.

Once, when I was sitting on a jury, a guy who was in jail with the suspect and supposedly heard him confess, straight-up admitted under cross-examination that he would lie under oath if it benefited him to do so.

You can imagine how much credibility we gave him

Just saying it here for future reference, I bet Glenn Greenwald will do a piece rebutting this soon.

Some times I wonder if Muller and the democrats will even stop beating this "dead horse" when Trump leaves office after his second term.

I would not be surprised if they didn't. There will probably still be some kind of investigation going on when his grand children graduate collage. Some one will likely try to say Trump "colluded" with the collage faculty to get the kids grade averages raised.

Schiff is one of the Democrats who have been trying to dampen expectations for Mueller's report recently. Maybe this article is intended to rally Democrats, who seem to be losing hope that Mueller's investigation has turned up anything impeachable?

Hmmmm.... yeah that does seem a bit out of character for Schiff. I would think he would be one of the last ones still holding the torch. There's a lot of people squirming in DC right now, right and left. I will say this about Trump, he certainly knows how to stir one hell of a pot. Something that's been needed for a long, long time.
