The plan all along was to use the emergency declaration to build the wall. The 30 day shutdown is a tactic whose end result is not apparent, although there are many theories.

One theory is that the shutdown may make the declaration more palatable to the public who have been panicked by the MSM. The political fatigue and intransigence of Pelosi has annoyed many and all just want the impasse to end. Here the MSM bias is being used against the deep state. The Dems will say Trump caved but he will get the wall in the end. If they fight it, he will keep the Gov shut down and what little they gain from being able to claim victory will be lost. Since they have so few wins, I think they will take what they can get,

I don't know. This president does what needs to be done when it needs to be done. He gets things done, no matter what day it is.

He doesn't have that typical politician's work schedule...you know, the ones that come in at 9 or 10, check their messages, take a break and go to the House/Senate gym, shower, go for a 3-hr lunch, then meet with some fellow politician, then cocktails in the afternoon with some Big Donor.

As Q pointed out this is about so much more then the wall. The "break" we are in seems to be a sort of recalibration at the manifestation level. The actions DJT has taken, even not taken, has had the effect of breaking a spell over those that whish it, or so it would seem to me.
