Cool, but my post wasn't about immigration but about the way the article posted by tiredoflooking used the tired "for the children" meme.

A wall isn't going to "protect the children" from domestic violence so what was the point of phrasing it that way?

My question for people against building the wall is...WHAT CAN IT HURT TO TRY?

Yes other security is needed etc.

Yes it may not stop all problems but 5 billion to try it and see is not the end of the world.

If Trump is wrong won't that HELP the other side's cause?

The majority voted for him on this policy.

Just effin build it.

Seriously.

Tell that to the kids being trafficked.

It might not save all the children but it's a start.

Better than nothing.

Huh? My comment was in reference to this:

Want to know what I know? I know of many people with minimal education (junior high level at best) with no savings getting tourist visas to the US. I guess that is the best vetting you are going to get.

Immigration reform includes tourist visa reform as well.

It can't hurt but it is a waste of money.

It's government so that isn't a valid reason either but thinking it is going to stop illegals and drugs is wrong. It is just political rhetoric.

You think they will not be trafficked locally? Less money but it is something.

If the wall saves one American life, how is it a waste of money?

If the wall cuts 50% of illegal immigration and trafficking, explain how it's a waste of money?

This rhetoric we keep hearing is growing tiresome....

Should have said my original post wasn't about immigration. Yeah someone brought it up and I added that bit to the tangent.

"The wall" doesn't automatically include immigration reform. If you think about it the Admin could tackle that, which would be a start, even if they cave on the wall.

With this logic, why would the “UFO” expose itself to a “Foreign” woman?

Tit for tat D...... tit for tat.

The shut down cost 11 billion.

That's a waste of money.

It's not a waste when Trump ran his platform on building it and people voted for that.

They chose that already.

It is a bad return on investment. If spending 50% saves the same lives then that would be a better option.

Now lets take it a bit further. You have a wall. Who could climb over that wall with ease and maybe greater drive, some middle age mother who wants to be a "Maid in Manhattan" or a gang banger?

Here is a wall in action:

I never said that the "UFO" exposed itself to a “Foreign” woman so I don't know what logic you are talking about.

I did say it is government so it is all a waste of money. What was the point? People voted for that?

The people don't run things. might hurt but it is the truth.

Did you listen to President Trump's description of the wall a few days ago? It will, not only be a physical see-thru barrier/wall, but it will implement the latest technological tools, as well. This is not your grandpa's barrier, my friend. This one is going to work.

No it won't because border agents can still be bribed, tunnels dug and people who will obviously overstay their tourist visas will still be given those visas.

Oh yeah, drones and spud guns can go into the mix.

That isn't my logic. I never said don't build the wall. I just said that it isn't going to do much good.

Your "E" key seems to be stuck.
