the Chinese built a wall 5, 500 miles long and it seems to have worked well for them. it's even still working 2200 years later.

Not sure what he thinks he's going to accomplish by building the wall , They will find a way under, over or through it , It's going to end up a patch work mess from all the holes cut into it .
. It also projected that overstays made up about two-thirds of the total number of people who became unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. that year.

Say you walk into your house and you look around. You see openings everywhere in your house where there are no walls, just frame. Your nice big house backs up to an impoverished neighborhood. You hire a contractor to put walls on every empty frame in your house. This is meant to keep your family safe and keep intruders out. But you still know, in the back of your mind, that if an intruder wants in bad enough, he'll sneak through a window, maybe find a way under the house cut his way through your floor while you're away.
You may not know how to keep him from coming through your floor from below, or from sneaking in through a window, but you rest easy knowing that at least you have walls around your house and if an intruder comes around, he can't come through your open frame anymore.
Well I guess the analogy might be a little better if it were about your yard, but then again who wants that much to get into YOUR yard? Clearly it just does not work!
Anyone can walk into my yard, but they would have to be sneaky and crafty to get into my house because of my walls.

If he declares a national emergency, I will like him even less. That is a complete dictator move.
I do hope the government opens up as soon as possible though.

If an anti trump post was posted pretty much everybody on this thread would be saying something along the lines of " slow news day"... but every pro trump thread the same people jump in and slap hands....
Can you at least agree with that?

If border security is a ‘National Emergency’ what exactly are real issues? You guys with TDS were sick of politics i thought. This isn’t an emergency this is Trump trying to not get beat playing politics pure and simple.

they aren't walking across the border with drugs.
why are you lying?
“We noticed the disturbing trend of juveniles attempting to smuggle narcotics by strapping packages of marijuana to their bodies and walking across the border in 2009,” said CBP spokeswoman Angelica De Cima. “At that time, it was mostly marijuana.”
Rarely do I consider the consequences of getting caught, and why should I? Over the past three years, I've transported Soma, Valium, Vicodin, OxyContin and other psychoactive drugs into Orange County at least 100 times with minimal hassle, sharing them with friends whose bottomless appetites for these substances are exceeded only by my own gross consumptive disorder.

Because the Dems are being so stubborn and will not compromise one bit, this is a national emergency.
