They went with a LiteHUD from BAE Systems. It's 60% smaller by volume, and 50% lighter, while keeping a better resolution and brightness, and larger eye motion box.

Hey Anzha - just wanted to extend my sincere thanks for keeping this one going. I’ve been trying to keep an eye on this program because I see it serving as a framework for future “entry” advanced generation airplanes (I’m not a big fan of the “generations” everyone gets hung up on).

I can see this one, or perhaps one like it, filling the need for a relatively inexpensive multi-role airplane for smaller nations and air forces that can meet their needs without draining their coffers for hardware and logistical support. Kinda like a 21st century F-5… Perhaps F-16s or the Rafalle would be a better example for that though…
