BS. You want to defend a president who has all the characteristics of a wannabe dictator??? Really, what country do you live in? This president is attacking our democracy and it's alarming that some Americans and our own representatives ignore it!!! The scandals this president has been involved in is unprecedented! Any one with any sense of logical thinking would realize this president is unhinged just by taking notice of his narcissistic character and all of his personally appointed firings!! Even professional psychologists are sounding the alarm about this presidents instability. Keep supporting this idiot and you and America may wish they never did. It only takes a thin skinned narcissistic person to be offended to the extent where their immediate and satisfying response is to launch a nuclear missile.

Where have you seen this behavior? "Wannabe Dictator"? really, are we talking about the same person that has been handing over his Presidential Paychecks back to the people, providing more freedoms back to us the people that have been taken away by the prior administrations? Can you give us some examples of the dictator you talk about?

1. As for the impeachment of the president - I never thought I would see the day a president could get away with blatant lies and dictatorial tendencies! Sure all politicians will twist the truth in favor of their party's agenda, but this president's lies are clearly black and white! Deny it?? There's numerous videos that prove it!!

So the last guy, and the one before him, and before him, and so on and so forth you must have slept through.

2. Our constitution has become outdated. The electoral college should be abolished. The majority rules in most all major decision making processes throughout the world, unless your decisions are controlled by a dictator! There's absolutely no reason why certain states should have more leverage in electing a leader than others. I would think if you or anyone else were sitting on a committee deciding who to hire and the majority voted for 1 particular candidate, yet the decision was made to hire the candidate with the fewest votes, you and many others who voted with the majority would feel not only offended but feel their input didn't matter. Simply said, Ignoring the majority has no place in a democracy.

Nice talking point of the DNC isn't it, but you do realize that if you got that then it wouldn't matter what anyone says unless you live in 6 key cities in the US. I live in Washington State and here we have an issue where if the city of Seattle votes 68% for something the rest of the state has to follow what they say. It's not the right way of doing anything, but hey if you want LA, New York, and San Francisco making all the laws in the US that's your thing. Just remember to look at what your asking for first.

3, Absolutely!!! No president is above the law! The same goes for our elected officials! President Ford pardoned Nixon to prevent him from being prosecuted for his crime while in office. Ask yourself, who would pardon you or I if we were involved in a crime?? NOBODY! So why would you think it's OK for Presidents to have the power to pardon and protect their friends, or use it to keep them from exposing their crimes? I'm sure the founding fathers never expected pardons were going to be used to help protect a president or government officials of crimes.

I guess those guy's that just got pardons from this President should just walk their butts back to jail then. I'm pretty sure none of them were friends of Trump, but if you are talking about the last guy in office, then sure your point might be valid. Talk about throwing out the baby with the bath water though.

The authors of our constitution was written by men who had no crystal ball to see into the future. They had no idea how technology would invade our privacy. They had no idea how the right to bear arms would be abused by some civilians who were mentally unstable. The constitution is not written in stone and like any plan or set of rules, needs to be updated/amended to preserve its basic ideas and intentions in ever-changing times.

Thomas Jefferson would agree, he believed that every 30 years a Constitutional Convention be held to ensure that the ensure that the Bill of Rights were understood, and that laws could be added to coincide with workable philosophic theories. Might not be a bad idea, but it sounds to me that you just want to scrap the whole document and replace it with....what?

I know, right?? An entire room full of very interesting pellet guns and all this guy wants to do is talk about the Nuke.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY?

Why does it seem like nobody wants to have a nice, pleasant, educational discussion about pellet guns? 😕

Someone should add a caveat on 3 that all previously awarded presidential pardons will also be null and void, in the interest of fairness and see how fast they change their minds...

They did. It was Republican Ted Cruz (loathe the man but appreciate his offering this, assuming there's no riders on it) who introduced this bill

I just saw on day one of the opening three proposals put forth -1. impeachment of the president, 2. Getting rid of the electoral college 3. getting rid of presidential pardons.

What say you ATS do you yea or nay on these three proposals?

I support #1 but I don't think it will pass... yet. Definitely support #2 - a holdover from the Founding Fathers who didn't think that Americans were rational enough for majority vote rule (which is what a Democracy is.) Madison in particular feared the "Tyranny of the Majority" and to prevent that essentially disenfranchised us all. For the third, I'm ambivalent. They're trying to prevent Trump from pardoning people associated with the Russian probe but it may later come up to haunt them. Perhaps putting some rules on the presidential pardon would be a better idea (can only pardon something that's 20 years old, for instance.)

-Anyone who continues to attack a free press which is the cornerstone of a democracy is just one example of a "wanabee dictator."

Where have you seen this behavior? "Wannabe Dictator"? really, are we talking about the same person that has been handing over his Presidential Paychecks back to the people, providing more freedoms back to us the people that have been taken away by the prior administrations? -Someone who praises Putin, and Kim Jong Un and says ""He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same," wow. Sounds like a wanabee dictator to me.

-Attacks on the rule of law, the DOJ is not Trump's personal Justice Department. Befitting for a dictator.

-Wants to pass legislation without negotiating with the opposite party. Either he's ignorant about how our government works or he wishes he had complete control - wanabe dictator.

-Getting rid of (Firing) or forcing resignations on anyone who doesn't agree with him, (28) to date - unprecedented. Sounds like a dictator.

-A billionaire handing over his measly pay checks. ...Wow that must really hurt his pocketbook. Political stunt maybe?

-Freedoms taken away from the previous administration, do you want to clarify??? What about Trump's attack on the environment in favor of industrial toxic dumping. Denying climate change? What's freedom if he laying a foundation to kill this planet and all life on it. Not to mention his comment about "him loving war." A statement from a chicken hawk.

So the last guy, and the one before him, and before him, and so on and so forth you must have slept through.

Exaggerate much? Jeesh.

On the electoral college comment...Like I said, the majority rules in any intelligent decision making.

Really, what part did you miss when all these men glorified Trump and vice versa? Please, this is just another typical denial statement from a Trump supporter.

Why let a little thing like the Constitution stand in the way?

If Trump had run on the popular vote, he could've won that way too.

You do realize, don't you, that he lost the popular vote? Won the electoral vote but lost the popular vote.

"The US house no longer has Sovereign US Interests it's now a socialist and globalist agenda". Its been that way since congress gave their power to the socialist Federal Reserve Bank in 1913. Congress has not only deregulated/devalued the weights and measures of money but it has also promoted the counterfeiting of our money by the Federal Reserve Bank, which goes against constitutional mandates. A Fed member named Prescott Bush helped fund Hitler & Nazi Germany's rise to power, which led to FDR suspending our constitution in 1933 through emergency war powers, known as the NDAA today. We've been in continous war since then. If the wars are ever to end, the constitution will be reinstated & it will again be followed. Every economic downturn and war since 1913 was caused by the Federal Reserve Bank. Its so funny to me how so many are against our constitution and free market capitalism. We haven't followed the constitution & have not had free market capitalism since 1913, we've had socialism. So how can anyone be against free market capitalism if they have not experienced it? So many are against Trump & think he's an authoritarian, yet when actual authoritarian Obama was president, there was not a peep from these people. Its socialist policies which led us to where were at today, not free market capitalism, which we have not seen since before 1913. They can try to impeach Trump but I don't think its going to happen. They can try to amend or even reinstate the constitution but I don't think that's going to happen either.

Our Presidential election process is not and never was based upon a popular vote idea...So you don't have an argument...Our Nation is based on laws...Don't like the law, work to change it...But quit whining about something that doesn't exist...

This is the new congress, be proud America.

The President said of China “We’re gonna tax those mother****rs!” How is an f-bomb from the President worse than one from a Congressperson?

I don’t use that language myself, but don’t people love Trump for that very same shoot-from-the-hip courseness?

Myself, I think it’s all cheap and unbecoming of a public official, but I apply it equally. I wish she hadn’t said it, but here we are...

As to the thread, it is partisan spin.

I’d bet my life a real shooting war is coming to the western world

This problem undermines the foundations of every country across the western world, it is an all out assault on not just every western nation but the actual hierarchy and reason it came into existence

One of the driving forces behind it is literally a war against white men

The world has never seen anything like it but one things for sure is it’s going to be the most bloody war the world has ever seen

And your right it isn't a big deal, but in so doing it he really dumps the idea of being a Dictator doesn't he. As for all your other points, I think that you really need to understand what a mess the last guy created (unless you really believe that he had no controversies during his term in office, just like he claims)

I have to admit though you do have a funny posting if that was your aim.
