I think the Russians may have some export success with this aircraft over the next few years, but it depends on the compromise between purchase price,
the characteristics / performance of the plane and - critically - long term support, upgrades and problem rectification. This plane has many issues,
and whilst Russia has gone a good job in getting it to this stage, it is still not able to produce the engines needed, along with airframe stealth and
durability problems. The nice thing about this is that the Russians have over the years gotten much info about the F-22 and F-35, along with the
Chinese...and they still can't get much of it right. 5th gen tech is as much about the technology to manufacture it as it is about the technology of
the plane itself, and that is something they struggle with.
And keep this in mind...this plane will have only a handful of years before it meets 6th generation systems designed to fight in a very different way.
