What you do is you take the Bible verse and you encoded through the four possible building blocks of the double-helix Strand g t c a.
Imagine translating from English to Morse code except the morse code is combinations in sequence of genetic proteins

DNA is an organic molecule composed of 4 base chemicals. The kid came up with "code" for the verses based on combinations of those chemicals.

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.

When you think of it as an artistic statement using state-of-the-art Sciences and his own body as the medium it makes a modicum of sense

There is ZERO science in this.

Highly unethical and unscientific.

You can't edit single or multiple genes or change gene expressions like this.

Between the anti-GMO people and idiots like this, I am truly worried about the complete illiteracy surrounding this field of science. I'm not saying everyone should be a geneticist, but you don't have to be in order to understand why this is BS.

lol When that happens I will come back here and apologize. I will then reevaluate my religious beliefs as well.

is there any chance that this guy could have created a killer virus that wipes out half of the population and leaves the other half with genetic mutations?

Not really. A virus is more than a bit of DNA.

What if he just starts turning into something else like, a snake?

...how does one get DNA from a Bible or other BOOK?

Maybe it was a bible from a hotel? Those have plenty of DNA .

Although I'm not sure he is going to like the DNA he will be picking up from it or the super sexually transmitted super power he might be getting.

I wouldn't use randomly generated code from sacred texts. I would do this using DNA sequences from ancient people. Hopefully one would be more complete and unrestricted so as to bring back a lost genetic variety of the human race.

Anyone from before the last bottleneck in worldwide population. If possible, a demigod titled person or an early king.

Hell, I would take as many complete DNA sequences from Neanderthals as possible and go for broke. I have kids already so chemical castration and neanderthal resurrection here I come.

Or if I am making more than 50℅ of the code from scratch, I would use the Fibonacci sequence to generate the code.

OR

Jesus blood with some super tuned RNA from a lion.

this has to be made into a movie guys

A biohacker injected himself with DNA sequence made from parts of the Bible and Koran in a risky experiment because he "wondered whether it would be possible."

Adrien Locatelli, from Grenoble in France, translated religious passages into DNA code to build unknown proteins which he then poured into his body.

The high-school student risked potentially fatal consequences after conducting the procedure without any knowledge of the effects the proteins would have on his body

So pretty much if this guy gets superpowers I am doing this tomorrow.
Introducing outside genes through retroviruses is already a workable process.
No matter what happens to this High School maniac mad scientist he will go down as a legend and hopefully be mentioned in textbooks

Cue crazy video.....

We are probably not far off from this being a foolproof science.

If you had the choice of injecting yourself with all sorts of outside genes to augment yourself would you?.

being French, I wonder if he said "Tiens ma vin" just before?

I guess it beats injecting marihuana and other dope!

And the only part that came across was the "This was placed by TheGideons™ out of one of their 947 satellite orifices to better service You, a member of TheFlock..."

What is really "yucky" is the pages are stuck together, must be real big fans of Luke?? Maybe they got this "Luke" confused with the One from "Days of Our Lives"???

Things that make You go "huh" huh?

Stay Hydrated...

This could be the future of science. If they make a movie about it, would it be akin to Frankenstein 2.0 ?
Jesus and Satan intertwined conclusively resulting in Frankenstein 2.0. But they can't get away from each other because DNA prevents them from separating.

Sounds like something Stan Lee would consider for a super hero movie.
