The fact is I remember a time when people didnt cheer for the death of another person like we see here........and it seems to be a symptom of the systemic cancer that is invading our society.......

The same one that holds a smartphone up and films a robbery in progress.....

The same one that will film a person being beat instead of stepping in to help......

The same mindset, that will snapchat a person bleeding out on the ground rather than render aid.....

Im only almost 40, and Already I dont recognize this world I live in anymore......and im disgusted.........

Worth repeating.... You people cheering on death are out of line..

Why ? Because one less bad guy roams the planet ? 🙄 Save the sanctimonious lecture for when someone decent dies, and people are cheering.

A bad guy to whom? he wasnt a bad guy to a lot of people........he was respected by a lot of the world and even military......right or wrong.......

You dont speak for all of them........Much like he doesnt either.......

What hubris do you have to say anyone is decent????

He was a father, and a husband, and by all accounts good as a family man......

You have no right to judge.........by someone elses measure.......you might be the same.....

It's one thing to be indifferent, it's another to be happy and dance on a grave. When you become that which you hate you are no better.

Become what you hate ? By dancing on a grave ? GWB Sr. did much much more than dance on graves. The man was despicable.

Spare us the empty platitudes. You SHOULD be disgusted at this current world. It blows my mind that you can't seem to bring yourself to cheer the death of one of the main, publicly visible architects of this horrific Orwellian landscape that you see before you.

The man certainly didn't do a great deal for us plebs, I'm sure however he was quite revered within the circles he walked, was the man a good father, a good husband was he loved by his children and wife?

Oh please he's just another cog in the mesh, no different to the current orange disaster that plagues today's world.

Interesting though isn't it he is as you put it, the man is a visible architect in this horrific Orwellian landscape , a good magician never shows his hand and the architects of this nightmare we live are not visible.

And you may be to others, may others be more charitable in your death than you were to others in life

I was a little late on this one haha.

I wondered when the old bugger would go. He did some dastardly things in his time...

but for now may he find the light he missed while among the living.

Mmmm I am and the response in this post make it doubly so yours not withstanding......

It blows my mind that you can't seem to bring yourself to cheer the death of one of the main, publicly visible architects of this horrific Orwellian landscape that you see before you

It blows my mind that people can be so short sighted to think he was the architect.........

It also blows my mind that people can be so full of themselves to think they have some moral authority to cheer the death of of someone who held an office they have no idea of which the consequences could be....

Also that they would cheer the death on of someone who regardless of his other failings, did some great things for this country......

But hey.......its all easy to judge from the sidelines when youre not in the game isnt it.......

I mean you should probably , like i said before, start at Woodrow Wilson and look at ACTUAL history and follow allong with it through presidents to actually understand whats going on and the direction, but hey , you know, actual history and research is hard......its better to do a sound bite and a snippet.......maybe a spoon fed news broadcast........

youre time will come........I hope you are treated more kindly than you do others........

I agree judge not lest ye be judged. But, he had a dastard nature, like the dude that just got jailed for killing his family. Maybe forgiveness isn't meant for mortals, but immortals.

I think maybe a lot of my sympathy comes from having lost a parent.........

I think a lot of the people commenting here, have not, or have not lost a close family member......

There comes a certain empathy with losing a parent.......and i think thats lost on a lot of other people.......

Honestly I was NOT and am not a huge fan of the Bush family........

But I can say........anyone cheering this on.......I dont care to ever debate or talk to again, and will immediately dismiss whatever the hell they say because of their standard.......period.......

I saw this a little while ago.

Things that come to mind when I think of George H. W. Bush are his "wouldn't be prudent" phrase and his thousand points of light quote.

In his first speech as Republican candidate for the presidency - in the New Orleans Superdome on Aug. 18, 1988 - George H.W. Bush turned briefly inspirational when he compared America to "a thousand points of light in a broad and peaceful sky."
source

He had his good points and his bad points, just like all of us.

I doubt Trumps evils are even closely comparable to the Bush Dynasty.

Bush Sr admittedly said people of United States would chase him down if they knew what the Bush's have done. Why do you think he'd say something like that? hmm

I was kinda hoping Qbone would answer my question themselves.

A thread though may be fun.

Wow you guys are actually kind of disgusting tonight.

What I like the most about HW Bush is that he wasn't captured like McCain.

And I doubt you would ever be captured because you aren't out there putting your life on the line for the American people in combat. He got shot down, captured, and tortured, lol. What a loser, he should never be a politician. Only guys who've never been in combat or were lucky enough to not get injured and captured deserve the title of.. Senator. If you fought in battle and were a casualty, then shame on you.

Guess you're too slow to notice that comment was a jab at Trump's response to McCain's insult to him.
And you have no idea who I am or where and how I served in the Armed Forces.
