It was real but it was in a tweet attempting to quickly rebut the notion that should the military turn on our citizens, the weapons we have will not be enough to fight them off, which, has long been one of the more staunch defenses against gun control. Yes it was a poor analogy, but that is what is was. A symbolic statement on the over all superiority of our military.
You do understand that our military is comprised of actual people, right? With families and loved ones and property and a love of country.
Then there are a lot more of us that are no longer in the service but didn't forget the skills when we left...
Interesting that the left is only tickled about the superiority of our military when they fantasize about using it to take over America.
Wish you luck!

Well that was easy now, wasn't it? Just take the point being made and flip it over to point in the opposite direction. I wish I was that smart.

This does not have anything to do with taking a mans statement our of context and blowing it up into a hyperbolic charge of authoritarianism

Was one of the skills that retired service people still have the ability to comprehend when a man is making a simple tweet and understanding it within the context with which it was stated?

That, besides being a gross over exaggeration is also just plain bullcrap.

Actually, what you and nearly everyone continually fail to realize is that we're all on the same team. And we're just standing around bickering and blaming each other for the ball not moving forward instead of working together to come up with a plan to move it down the field.
And we've all just been hit with yet another delay of game penalty. That'll cost us another 5 yards...

There's already a thread on this clown and his nuclear statement, as was pointed out in the other thread it was likely meant as a point that citizens with their AR's are no match for the government and their arsenal of weaponry, if a rogue government wanted you dead they could do it and easily without a fight. To think he meant it literally is a little hyperbole if I ever saw it.
He may have been a little stupid ...
But it is an interesting look into the mind, if you can call it that, of the left.
By Any Means Necessary, right?
To be blunt, it's my opinion that anyone who plays for team left or team right have lost it, you know the lights are on but nobody's home.
It's my opinion at this point that if you are not on a team, you are in denial.
There is a very real geosocialpolitical war going on right now in America.
I seriously doubt that it will ever escalate to another civil war.
However, there are only two other endings, economically.
One, we continue to slide left, bankrupt everything, settle into the Greatest Depression and have to move forward.
Two, we can fix the system we have and move forward.
Neither of those two alternatives end with the left in charge.
It's just math.

I get called a lot of things around these parts, communist is one of them...
So, anyways there's 3 things that irk me to no end. Illegal border crossing, Government Corruption and Gun Control for Law abiding Citizens who -are- concerned with Illegal gangs and gun runners.

I didn't realize that, but real; fake it was said, that's the problem. That it was said at all. Poking a bear with an iron rod is never a good idea, which he knew would provoke and insult people.
