twitter.com... Ezili Danto, NY/Haiti human rights lawyer is reporting the following (I have no way to validate, but she often seems to be "in the know"): "There's a DECHOUKAJ (uprooting) list circulating everywhere targeting corrupt politicians and repugnant oligarchs to clean the swamp."
twitter.com... She states: "The demonstrators have burnt the Clinton edifices in Haiti, including the Oasis Hotel, the Best Western Hotel, the Digicel building was attacked. They pummeled the NATCOM building. The airport is barricaded with trucks and flaming tires."
At least one person has been killed and dozens injured as thousands of protesters took to the streets in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, over a corruption scandal, with some marchers calling for the resignation of President Jovenel Moise.
A report by Haiti's Senate published in August accused two former prime ministers and former government officials of embezzlement, abuse of authority and forgery stemming from the use of funds in a Venezuelan oil loan programme.
Moise, in a speech on Wednesday to mark the anniversary of the death of Haiti's founder, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, pledged that a trial would be held to get to the bottom of missing funds.
"Once you have stolen government funds, whether you are part of the government, of the opposition or of the population, you'll have to face justice," Moise said in his remarks in the northern town of Marchand Dessalines.

see look, when you think you live on an island eventually your chickens come home to roost. hopefully American's who continue to ignore the plight of over half of the country see that even if they think they are on an island and untouchable that eventually they will realize they can't do it on their own
if you live in Haiti you are already in the apocalypse

Not enough th re to make a connection to anything. It's too many seemingly different peices of data trying to paint a picture. You will have to do a web search in Creole and possibly Spanish as well. Dominican republic would report news on this as they share the island.
I will get off the phone though and get on this with the computer ASAP.

I often wonder what the heck is so special about Haiti that the financial powers of France and USA need to keep their nation in squalor? I mean for what, to bleed a handful of billion or maybe hundreds of millions from their impoverished society?
They generate that in mere seconds from the global electronic transaction fees of which the equivalent of 2.5 quadrillion is exchanged annually generating trillions of dollars in fees. SO wtf do they need keep raping Haiti for??? I just don't get it.

So far I found reports of rioting in July as a result of government cuts to fuel subsidies which would essentially double the price of gasoline and kerosene (yes, many people in the world still use kerosene for daily energy). And yes, we can thank the IMF for this as well, as they are the one demanding the cut in fuel subsidies.
Its goddamn # like this that is going to allow the #ing Chinese to take over all the financial goddamn markets. #ing Western Financial order needs to stop being so damn greedy and heartless!
It is not as if the Chinese and the AIIB and New development Bank are granting mutually beneficial loans to poor developing countries out the goodness of their hearts. They are simply trying to pull away any sway our side has over these nations and switch the loyalties. They seek to crush us by way of flipping the nations poor against us. And if the damn IMF and World Bank were not so simple mindedly greedy, they would see exactly that.
Stupid International Banks have really become clueless, and they wonder why the world nations are turning away from them in favor of the Eastern order on the rise.
In regards to current affairs as of today, I still got nothing so far, but I just started.

That was in the month of October. I don't see anything about the flood in the streets near the UN as claimed in one of the Op's twitter links though. That one has me curious.

those 50% of people can't afford both medical coverage and housing at the same time without having a second job so you tell me how they feel
keep thinking your on an island and parroting platitudes don't bother me a bit
Among larger employers, health insurance offer rates—the percentage of employers offering health coverage to their workers—have been steady: (a) for employers with 1,000 or more employees, around 99 percent, and (b) for employers with 100–999 employees, in the 92.5 percent to 95.1 percent range.

PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti, CMC – The Haitian government Monday denounced images on social media showing dead bodies being thrown into a garbage truck as a ploy to paint the French-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country as supporting police brutality.
In a statement, the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities said it “is shocked at the images of a video circulating showing without dignity, the corpses of young citizens thrown in a garbage truck.”
The authorities said that the video was being broadcast on social media without “any fear or respect for the dead, nor for the lives of people in general.”
“The Ministry strongly condemns the actions of individuals and groups in the society who want to make believe these images as abuses committed by the police on the population, which is false, “it said in the statement.
The ministry claimed that the video was being circulated by political opponents of the government and is “intended to sow instability throughout the country, on the basis of false information….
“This type of conspiracy is one of the various attacks made by these groups for some time to cause problems to the power in place,” it said, urging the law enforcement agencies to deal with the situation “without delay”.
In the meantime, the ministry is urging the population “to remain calm and not to get involved in these political manipulations.”
